Best part of our trip! - The food was amazing, and our guide was perfect. She was so good at balancing the history, the food, and making my son and I feel so welcome and free to be ourselves. It was the highlight of our time in Spain!

San Sebastián day trip - I loved the diversity of our experience. Everything from a terrific tort to begin, to chocolate, wine and culture. We wandered across the river to sample a beautiful local wine which was delicious with the tuna belly. Our guide was engaging and charming.

One of my most favorite food experiences ever! - Alaia was one of the most informed about the landscape, history and producers of the region. Her knowledge and collaborative spirit with artisanal vendors was impressive -- from chocolate bean to bar, cheese and the absolute very best tortilla you will every have (as well as many pinxtos and local beverages to try along the way). We lucked out -- and we had a wonderful group. We all loved her thoughtful approach to all she conveyed. Eskerrik asko, Alaia -- we so appreciate you!

The Most DELICIOUS Sampling of San Sebastian! - Our group of 4 adults were led by ALAIA in March 2025 on an 6 hour walking tour of delicious pintxos, chocolate, wine- and meeting the most welcoming proprietors ! Alaia very knowledgable, personable, friendly- was a pleasure to be in her company. She set just the right tone for the tour and gave our group a good 'grounding' in pintxos. Would recommend this tour for anyone in San Sebastion- great way to get to know the city, people, restaurants, shops, and food!!!

Experiencing another side to San Seb - Astrid is a gem, like meeting up with a friend for a few hours … to be so personable really sets the tone for a great walking tour that takes you to meet lesser known artisans and spots away from the pintxos trail (but including that briefly too).

A Perfect Culinary Adventure in San Sebastian’s Backstreets - The San Sebastian Culinary Backstreets FoodWalk was my fifth tour – a testament to how much I enjoy these excellent food experiences! Known for its rich food culture, San Sebastian offered us unique insights into its hidden gems. Our guide, Blanca, was incredibly enthusiastic and shared fascinating information and stories about each tasting spot we visited.

Great way to spend a day in San Sebastian - Astrid is great. She took us on an easy walk around the town with many stops for food, drink or just interesting things to see. There were 6 of us in the group. This is a super way to spend a day in San Sebastian.

A unique experience we couldn't have had on our own - We were only in San Sebastian for 2 days, and this was time very well spent. It was a great variety of local specialties, from the ubiquitous tortilla to bean-to-bar chocolate, local cheeses, and natural wines & ciders. From the traditional to the new, we sampled so many delicious things, with our guides providing background, history, personal stories, and overall expert, inside info. It is well worth the price and we look forward to doing other tours!
