Best food tour - 5/5 Alaia was an amazing guide, we visited fantastic local places and learned so much about Donostia and basque cuisine and culture in the three hours!you could tell so much thought was put into each of the stops on the tour and they gave a great flavour of all the pinxtos on offer with great drink pairings trying all the local specialties. We got fantastic recommendations for after the tour too. Absolutely loved the wine and beer shop stop. Could not recommend this tour enough to anyone visiting Donostia San Sebastián

Delicious food and a lovely, knowledgable guide - Had a lot of fun and so much great food on this tour. There was a good variety of dishes and drinks and I enjoyed everything. Alaia was a brilliant guide and I really appreciated the facts, recommendations and info she gave us which enhanced my experience in San Sebastián. Our group was about 8 people which was a nice size.

Amazing food tour with expert local guide! - I enjoyed every minute with our native San Sebastián guide Alaia! She introduced us to delicious dishes and drinks in wonderful venues that I would not have discovered on my own. Eating Europe is the best - don't think twice, just book it and enjoy!

Tour full of food, drinks, and history - all done by a fabulous guide - My husband and I love Eating Europe tours and this tour with Alaia in San Sebastian was no different. We had an awesome evening eating and drinking across town. We learned so much about the food we were trying, the history of San Sebastian, and Basque Country as a whole. Alaia was the perfect host, it felt like we were sightseeing with an old friend. We enjoyed all of our stops and took advantage of several of the recommendations Alaia sent us after the tour. 10/10 would recommend!

Donostian food and culture at its best - Excellent tour, informative and tasty in equal measure. Alaia took us to places we wouldn’t have found by chance and arranged for some off menu treats to boot!

Did not meet expectations. 30% good. - E-postEmneWe met exactly at 5:00 PM. We were looking for a guide with a purple bag… we didn’t see anyone, only a woman sitting on the steps. We walked around a bit, wondering if this was the right place and were about to call—only then did she stand up and say she was the guide. She should have been standing there, clearly visible with the bag. There was a pleasant round of introductions before we started. The first stop was good – Casa Senra. The next stop was at her husband’s wine shop. There we were served their own vermouth and a small cracker with a bit of cheese, as well as an olive stick. We did not expect this to count as one of our six stops. It was nice to hear about her family and their wine production, but it has nothing to do with a pintxo bar.Meson Marin – good.Casa Senra – good.Beharri Cider – a sad basement venue where we were instructed to pour a little cider at the bottom of the glass from the tap. This turned out to be the drink meant to accompany the meat, which tasted good. However, everyone had empty glasses and there was no offer of refills. Red wine should have been served with such good meat. A depressing venue. What was supposed to be the final dessert stop turned out to be a piece of cake that the guide picked up from a bakery and served to us on the street! It was raining, so we found shelter under a sidewalk awning. A very poor ending to a tour we had been looking forward to.If this is the usual quality of your tours, we will avoid your company in the future. Sorry.
