Great morning cooking our classic Spanish lunch - Brilliant morning at our Cooking Class, cooking with Eneko. Three of us with him, a great experience. A lot of laughs, information and tips pouring out of him. His dissection of the squid was an education in itself. The lunch we made was excellent. Crema Catalana (better than Gazpacho), Paella Valenciana and Fideua. Fanatastic - many thanks Eneko

MIMO a MUST in San Sebastian - This was our 2nd trip to the Mimo 1 day cooking class and it yet again exceeded our expectations. From the state of the art kitchen and cooking area to the freshest local ingredients the experience was second to none. What made the day extra special were our hosts; Patricio, Eneko and Lara. Their warmth, knowledge and desire for the guests to have a great time made you feel a real part of the team. They were always engaging and answered questions, provided direction and gave us tips that we will use when we get home. Preparing the dishes you later were able to eat gave one a real sense of accomplishment. From hake cheeks to a home made taco with chorizo and seared tuna there was something that would appeal to everyone's palate. For anyone heading to San Sebastian a day at Mimo is a must. We will be back!

Even Better than Expected (which was already a lot) - My neighbors highly recommended taking the class while visiting San Sebastian, and they weren't wrong. Had an amazing day in the market and class with Chef Patricio -- he was a combination of knowledgable, kind, and funny. He really gets into the "why" of the choices made in Basque cooking, and we made dishes that I'd never tried before. I learned quite a bit, ate really well, and had a lot of fun with my classmates. Eskerrik asko! Looking forward to cooking with you again.

Sample local culture, feel like a pro! - Top-shelf experience! My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful time in this class, starting with the local market/shopping, sampling of pintxos, vermut & txakoli, and of course the cooking class itself. Eneko, Patricio, and the whole crew at Mimo provide professional tools and teaching and high-quality ingredients in a very fun and light-hearted, but focused environment. You get to learn some really interesting cooking techniques and of course you get to eat your creations at the end! You don't need to be a professional chef for this class, but you will feel like one as you're guided through preparing a delicious meal.

Fantastic cooking class - don't miss this opportunity! - Hands down, this was the best cooking class I have ever taken! I've taken many classes in the U.S. and abroad, including with culinary institutes. We made a large variety of dishes, the ingredients were fresh and abundant, and the stations were meticulously prepared in advance. Eneko, our chef, was very knowledgeable, instructed us well, and gave us a lot of hands-on experience. He has a wonderful sense of humor. They were very generous with their time. Our group ran overtime, and they did not rush us out. The meal was fantastic, paired with delicious local wines. I highly recommend this! We will be back to take more classes.

A Great Day - Great day. We did the fish cookery course and had a trip to the local market before coming back to prepare, cook and eat or fish. There was only 3 on the course which meant we all got a chance to practice a lot of the skills.

San Sebastian always more, Mimo never again! - I attended this traditional Basque cooking course together with 5 people from USA. U.S. The language was English, with some comments in Spanish. The description of the traditional Basque cooking course on the Mimo website included the following menu: Talos with Txistorra Mushroom scrambled Marmitako -Chop with piquillo peppers Mommy. The following changes from the one published in my cooking class were: Instead of scrambling mushrooms a cold mixture of fish prepared with prawns, prepared by the chef with the large kitchen mixer. - Cancellation without alternative of Marmitako ("the traditional Basque dish by antonomasia") The reason: It wasn't tuna season, the chef said. "An unbelievable menu to prepare to enjoy." There were few activities for students: 10 minutes per person for 5 hours: - prepare the beads, fry them, cut and fry the txistorra - fry the shrimp through the mixture - fry the peppers and peppers of the piquillo (tin!) Cut the chop. Chef grilled it on a big grill - Heat sheep's milk, decorate the mammies In short, it was not a cooking class with activities, no recipes for cooking and take home, but an unwanted talk in English at a very high price: E 230! San Sebastian always more, Mimo never again!
