- Korean Folk Village - The Korean Folk Village offers an immersive experience of traditional culture from the late Joseon period to both local and international visitors. It features cultural classes, shamanistic beliefs, seasonal customs, and more. The village showcases various uniquely characterized areas such as a farming village, private residences, official districts, a Confucian academy, a seodang (village school), and a village street with realistic depictions, along with a nobleman’s house and traditional workshops.
Performances such as Nongak (farmer’s music), martial arts on horseback, traditional wedding ceremonies, and other seasonal events are available. Notably, ‘Welcome to Joseon’, held every May, is a performance that transports visitors back in time to the olden days.
- Suwon Hwaseong Fortress - Suwon Hwaseong is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Suwon, South Korea. Constructed in the late 18th century by King Jeongjo, it serves as both a fortress and palace complex. The fortress walls extend nearly 6 kilometers and feature four gates and numerous watchtowers. Visitors can walk along the walls, explore the palace buildings, and enjoy cultural performances and events held at the site.
- Suwon Nammun Market - Suwon Nammun Market is a traditional market in Suwon, South Korea, with a history dating back to the Joseon Dynasty. It is one of the largest and oldest markets in the country, located near the renowned Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. (This location will be skipped every Wednesday from June to August)
