Simply Amazing - Another must do in the Dordogne. We did the 6 castles and it was amazing. The canoeing was easy, all down stream. Canoes were comfortable as I have a bad knee and my wife a bad back but five hours in the canoe felt like two. Amazing seeing the chateaux from the river. Lots of places to stop and either sunbathe, picnic, swim or have something to eat. We like a lot of people stopped at La Roche-Gageac where there are loads of cafes and a guy watches the canoes whilst you are away. Canoes Loisir took care of everything and the staff were great. Shuttle to the start and back again, minimal waiting around. Not to be missed even if you just do a few chateaux/castles. Chez Benjamin - 5 Lunchtime stop from canoeing, quick look on Apple Maps and Chez Tom was an Italian pizza option. Great little place, busy staff, now called Chez Benjamin (not sure what happened to Tom). Lovely pizza. Didn’t have a salad but a lot of other diners did and they looked very impressive. On the river front so great views, very friendly staff.

Along the water without forcing it - Despite the crowds, it will remain a refreshing and athletic experience. Everything is very well organized from departure to the return by bus. The landscapes passed through are magnificent.

Great trip out and some lovely sights from the river. - Smooth from start to finish, we booked “on line “ 5 bridges trip. Easy to find and plenty of parking space and plenty of canoes, suspect we didn’t need to book. We took 3hrs 40 mins with couple of breaks. Think you would need to have less breaks to hit the 3 hours. There was a bar, ice cream and other bar snacks. ( plus toilets). Trip back was easy on the bus, c 20 mins.

Hi, I say do it.(* ´ ▽ ` *) - It was nice, except for how much my arms were sore. It had a beautiful view, and there was a few rope swings that were really fun! 😁( ^ω^ )

Fantastic - A fantastic way to experience the Dordogne Valley. The canoe trip was peaceful and relaxing, with stunning scenery all around us. It was the perfect way to slow down, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and take in the river at a leisurely pace. Keep an eye out for the rope swings and jumping spots along the way — definitely worth having a go, especially with the kids! Great fun and highly recommended for families.

Something to do to pass the time - Activities with children. No instructions regarding the practice for beginners. Equipment is outdated and largely depreciated. The Dordogne is a highway during peak travel times. Hundreds of canoes in a line. It gets jammed in places, it gets crowded. Some groups feel like they are the only ones in the world, splashing, pushing....

Cruising through a fairytale - Super fun and cruisey way to see medieval castles from the comfort of your canoe. Take a picnic and plan to swim. Millions of people - which would normally turn me off - but it was genuinely a great way to spend the latter half of a beautiful sunny day.

Not recommended - Disappointed by the large structure. We wanted something more family-oriented and friendlier instead. A factory...so many people... Don't expect rapids, it's a very touristy river. However, a very pretty tour with villages and castles.
