5/5 Stars – Exceptional City Sightseeing Tour – Javier and Francesco Made It Unforgettable! - We booked a private city sightseeing tour with Lian Javier Tours (LJET) from Amber Cove, and it was hands-down one of the best shore excursions we’ve ever done! From the moment we stepped off the ship, Javier and Francesco were waiting right at the port with a big smile and water bottles to keep us hyderated; super professional and punctual. They immediately put us at ease and explained the plan for the day in great detail. The tour took us through the highlights of Puerto Plata: beautiful historic sites, scenic viewpoints, the iconic Malecon promenade, and other key attractions. What stood out most was how patient and flexible they were. They gave us plenty of time at each stop, no rushing at all; so we could truly appreciate the views, take photos, and soak in the culture. They shared interesting facts and local stories that made everything come alive. On top of that, they truly went above and beyond! When we mentioned wanting a relaxed lunch spot by the beach instead of a standard stop, they happily tweaked the itinerary on the spot. They took us to a gorgeous beachside place with crystal-clear water, fresh food, and an incredible vibe. It turned out to be the highlight of our day and made the whole outing feel personalized and memorable. Javier and Francesco were knowledgeable, friendly, safe drivers, and genuinely cared about making our experience special. Amazing day in the DR - We had an amazing time with this family who provided everything they promised and more. Great communication pre tour. Knowledge of their island is amazing, energy was infectious and personalization of the tour was outstanding to fit our likes! Would highly recommend hanging out with Javier, Soraymi, and Francisco any time in the DR.

Excellent City Tour with an Adventure! - The city tour was perfect with Javi Tours!!! Highly recommend. We leaned quite a bit about the culture and had an adventure!!! Great for families with teens/college age children. Javier knows all the Instagram worthy spots! We felt safe the entire time and had a blast!

Great Family experience - Great experience. Great history experience about Puerto Plata. Monkeys, ziplining, lunch, and shopping were worth it. Two nice and friendly guys.

Amazing tour from Javi - Javi Tours was an amazing experience for our whole family. The atmosphere was friendly from start to finish, and the group size was perfect—about 8 people—so it felt personal and not overcrowded. Getting to see the monkeys up close was unreal. We got to let them climb all over us, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. My family also went zip lining and they absolutely loved it. Everything was well organized, the guides/staff were professional, and they made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Was an amazing 4 hour tour. Admission was about $100 per person, and honestly it felt worth it for how memorable the experience was. I’d definitely recommend Javi Tours if you want something fun and unique!

Super nice experience - Very relaxing and friendly staff!. Our guide Francisco was very knowledgeable about history and open to questions. The chauffeur Javier was very accommodating to the time spent in the island.

Tour Puerto Plata"Your Way" - We had a very good day with Javier Tours. We docked at Amber Cove with our Princess Cruise. Know that you do need to walk completely out of the port and covered area. From the spot we got off the ship then into the vehicle, was 1 mile. It is easy walking with nice sidewalks. But, that is any tour outside Princess or Contract Tour companies. As far as the tour itself...Excellent. They are eager for you to get what you want out of the excursion. We went to the Chocolate factory, where we bought some of their hot chocolate. Cigar factory, We were impressed with the process of the men rolling the cigars. We do not smoke, but there were some rooms where customers were. We walked through Puerto Plata where people are very friendly. We got to see and learn a lot of history. Went to the center park, very pretty and clean, umbrella street, pink street. Recommend going to the fort. It's a pretty area on the coastline. We casually walked around for about 30 min., but could easily spend an hr there. You have the option to tour the fort for a fee, we did not. That was a wonderful thing about this tour with Javier, we could go as fast or relaxed and slow as we wanted. We are not "laying out at the beach people", but if you are, they will find the perfect spot for you. Police presence was everywhere and made our visit feel very safe. We ended the trip with a great lunch at a restaurant on the beach. The best Lobster bisque I've ever had, mofonguitos, recommended by our guide and delicious! Beautiful weather and a wonderful trip thanks to Javier and Company!
