This is a once in a... - This is a once in a lifetime experience!! Joshua and Danielle our guides were amazing. If you are an adventurous person this is a MUST. We did this as an excursion instead of booking with our cruise ship. I wore closed-toed water shoes but you definitely want something with more grip: sneakers, or hiking shoes that are okay getting completely submerged. They provide all the equipment and wet suits. BRING A WATER PROOF CAMERA CASE!! So glad I did, I got some amazing pictures and videos! Overall 12/10 recommend

Best Canyoning Tour on Domenica Island - This was an Amazing Trip!! Akeel Berani joshua and Ross are the best Guides. We felt absolutely Safe! The scenery was brilliant. One of my best canyoning experiences ever.

Cancelled, but Tried Their Best - Our trip was cancelled due to rain :/. My wife and I at least got a little training on rappelling at the starting site. They also took us to Titou’s Gorge while they waited to determine if it was safe to go to try to give us something to do in the meantime, but even that was over flooded. They provided a full refund. Despite the disappointment of not going, the entire staff was great and seemed like they would have provided an amazing experience had we gone. Hopefully we’ll get another opportunity to do something like this. Very few places have something like this. I believe it’s only Guadalupe and Dominica in the Carribean.

We had a great time... - We had a great time jumping off cliffs and repelling down waterfalls. The guides were amazing and made everyone feel comfortable - from little kids to newbies to old pros. They kept everyone safe and ensured everyone was having a good time.

Canyoning in Dominica - I go on vacation every year with my family and try to find fun adventures to do. This was absolutely the best fun adventure I have been on. It was AWESOME!!

The best thing we did on our whole cruise! - One of the funnest things you can do with a wet suit on! My family of 6 (youngest was 16 years old) decided to do this excursion during our stop at Dominica and we are so glad we did it. We felt very welcomed and comfortable from the moment our guide, Jeffrey, picked us up at the exact time and location we were told. He was so much fun to talk with and he gave us a lot of information about the area while we drove to the building. The whole group of 12 got fitted in our wetsuit, life jackets, helmets, and harness before a safety briefing and then finally a quick lesson on how to rappel. Only a couple of people in our group had ever rappelled before but it wasn't a concern because of our awesome guides. The adventure itself was one of the funnest things I've ever done. The canyon was beautiful, the water refreshing, the rappels were fun, and the jumping into pools next to a waterfall was exhilarating. Jeffrey, Mandy, and Danny were so much fun but also very professional and safe. They really cared that we all enjoyed the trip but also made sure that we all made it through in one piece. After the canyon was the hike back up to the van which was amazing in its own way. We never felt rushed even when some of our group had to lag behind a bit for medical reasons (which were also addressed very professionally). We even got to eat freshly picked grapefruit which was so much better than what you get at the store! Tanya had fresh hot chocolate waiting for us when we got back to the building. It was nothing like hot chocolate I've had but it was really good and refreshing. We then made the drive back to the pier in plenty of time to shop and walk around the area before our ship left. Things we learned: Be VERY careful wearing jewelry/watches. Just leave them at the building. I lost my Apple Watch somewhere in the canyon and didn't even notice until we got back to the building. As a testament to how awesome Extreme Dominica is, the guide for the group that went through the canyon after us, Akeel, made the effort to look for my watch. Believe it or not, he found it in the pool of the 20 foot jump. Niels was great to work with on getting it mailed back to me in the States (not cheap). The second thing we learned is to wear good footwear. My wife wore "closed toed" footwear but they were just water shoes with thin material on top with rubber soles. They were fine for 95% of the trip but she did slip once and caught her big toe nail on a rock and bent it back pretty badly. Mandy and Danny did some first aide on the toe and got my wife back on her feet. Lastly, watch out for the crabs! :)

Phenomenal team - I booked canyoning to face a real fear of rappelling, and the team at Extreme Dominica met me exactly where I was with calmness, kindness, and patience. Our guides, Akeel and Joshua, were incredibly experienced and made us feel safe every step of the way. Massive thank you to Akeel in particular who went out of his way to adapt the experience for me, offering alternative ways to rappel (by going down with me) and jumping into the waterfall together when I was very, very scared. He worked very hard to rappel me down each time including the jumps I wasn't able to do. My friend completed all the rappels and jumped by herself, showing that the experience is very manageable for beginners, this challenge was very personal for me. Shout out to Tanya for excellent communication, and generally to the whole team who clearly loves what they do and the natural environment they work in. Very professional and skilled team, I would highly recommend.
