Excellent afternoon in the west of Qatar - I had a fantastic half day tour of the west of Qatar made even more memorable as I was the only one on the trip. Saloo was an excellent guide, very friendly & knowledgable. We covered all the places advertised and nothing was rushed even ending sat peacefully as the only ones on a deserted beach as the sun was going down.

Had a great time... - Had a great time exploring a different part of Qatar on this tour! The car was comfortable, and Abdullah gave us interesting information about the sites. Fun way to see what I assume is probably a less explored part of Qatar.

Highly recommended tour - This half day tour was a fabulous way to see a different area of Qatar. Abdul Rehman as our guide was helpful, very informative and went out of his way to ensure our tour was comfortable and interesting. The landscapes and all places we visited were fabulous and we finished knowing much more about Qatar. Thank you Abdul.

Sajid is an amazing driver with a lot of knowledge about everything! - Sajid is a great and friendly person! His drivings skills are really good, making us feel safe the entire trip with our 4 year old son and 2 month old son. Sajid knows a lot about the history of Qatar and about the places that you visit. The trip is really worth visiting, as you visit some magical places in the desert. Sajid also went the extra mile by stopping over at additional places, that originally were not part of the trip. We made a nice quick stop at the kitesurfing beach, visited a privately owned museum that has a very big stable with lots of horses. And finally we had a quick stop at the royal camels, that they use for the parliament guard switch. I would recommend everyone to book a trip with Sajid!

Beautiful sites, but tour experience could be much better - We were so excited for this west coast tour after reading so many glowing reviews, and while the landscapes themselves were stunning, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to what we had hoped. First, we were especially looking forward to visiting Film City since it was listed as part of the overview but unfortunately we didn’t go there and it was never mentioned or explained why. I do see it’s not on the itinerary part but it’s on the overview so I’m confused. We didn’t want to say anything in the event we were mistaken but after double checking the listing, we believe we should have went. That was one of the highlights I had booked the tour for, so it was disappointing to miss it without any communication. Our guide, Mohammed, was polite but very quiet and didn’t provide much information during the trip. When we asked questions, such as how the mushroom rock formations were created, his answer was simply “that’s how it is.” Later we looked it up ourselves and found out it’s caused by wind erosion, which would have been interesting to learn from the guide. Similarly, when we asked about Richard Serra’s East-West/West-East installation, the explanation was only “it’s art.” I was hoping for a bit more context or storytelling to bring these amazing sites to life. He made remarks about how quick we were at every stop but when your guide isn’t telling you anything about the places you are or giving thoughtful answers, it’s hard to be interested. We did ask at the start of the tour if he thought we would be back by 7pm (we had a 3pm start time and it’s advertised as a 4-5 hour tour) but in no way indicated that meant we weren’t interested or wanted to cut things out. And we were back at our hotel before by 6pm. Not of great significance but it did also state water and tea or coffee were included and that was never seen or mentioned either. That said, the destinations themselves are absolutely worth seeing. The Mushroom Rock formations are unique and surreal, and Serra’s sculptures rising out of the desert are powerful and striking. Driving through the landscape and seeing the changing desert scenery was a highlight in itself. Overall, I think this tour has so much potential, especially since the sites are incredible. With a guide who shares more knowledge, answers questions with depth, and makes sure all listed stops are included, it could easily be a 5-star experience. I really hope future travelers get the version of this tour that matches the wonderful reviews I read beforehand.
