It appears that the auto generated emails don't agree with the actual scheduling. The course requires three students, so my friend and I signed up hoping for a third attendee. I called the staff the week before the class to see if it was going to "make" and they were very helpful about trying to get the class to happen. The Thursday before the class, I received an auto generated email that they were looking forward to having me for the class. Luckily I called the staff and was informed that the class didn't have enough students, so I cancelled my hotel reservations. The only bad part is that now I'm "out" $750 to wait on the next scheduled course that may coincide with my schedule, and this survey "thinks" I completed the class.
A friend of mine took this course last year and said it was by far the best ASA course he's had so far, and he took a well-taught ASA 105 & 106 with me.

Captain Manny was great! Enjoyed the discussions on what and why were doing to help understand the docking methods. I would recommend this class to any one.

South Coast Sailing is the BEST sailing school on the Gulf Coast! Very friendly, helpful, and supportive of all students regardless of experience level. If you are looking to get into sailing for the first time or if you are looking to advance your skills, SCS should be your first stop. The instructors are top notch and there is a real family/club atmosphere that you'll feel from the first day. Can't say enough about Captain Lucy and her crew!!

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Our instructor Captain Michael was both very knowledgeable and patient with us and made us feel at ease asking questions. Looking forward to working with South Coast again.
