Take in the stunning view of Santos’ shoreline and the city of “Saint Vincent” (the first permanent Portuguese settlement in Brazil) from Niemeyer’s monument atop Porchat Island hill. The entire shore, ships on the horizon, forming waves, tiny people, and paragliders can all be seen from this vantage point! -
Orquidario Municipal - Zoobotanic Park:
A must-visit for all ages, this park is home to nearly 500 animals across 70 species, many of which roam freely, such as agoutis, tortoises, saracuras, and peacocks. Enjoy trails through a tropical rainforest, a sensory garden, and an indoor bird nursery where birds come very close to visitors.
The park also features around 1,500 trees and shrubs, creating a true Urban Tropical Forest with specimens from around the world, including the brazil-wood tree, which gives Brazil its name.

Monte Serrat - Mount Serrat:
Take a tram ride up Mount Serrat, a peak offering a magnificent panoramic view from the former old casino at its summit. Access to the hill is via a funicular system, known as the Monte Serrat cable car, which connects the hilltop to the city center and departs every half hour.
From the viewpoint, you can see the entire port, the urban area of Santos and its surroundings, Bertioga Canal, Estuary, and Barnabé and Santo Amaro Islands. At the peak’s summit lies the 17th-century Chapel of Our Lady of Monte Serrat, the city’s patron saint and a historical attraction dating back to 1603.
