Berat - Apolloni - Vlore
Apollonia Archaeological Park - After a delightful breakfast, travel to the ancient city of Apollonia, a unique blend of Greek and Illyrian heritage, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes unlike any other in the Mediterranean.
Vlore - Later, transfer to the city of Vlore, famously known as the site where Albania declared independence from the Ottoman Empire. The city offers much with its beautiful coast. The walking tour with the guide will continue to Independence Square and the seaside promenade.
Narta Lagoon - To conclude the day, visit the serene Narta Lagoon and Zvernec Island, home to stunning wildlife like Dalmatian pelicans and flamingos amidst the lush Mediterranean pine forest.
Albanian Riviera
Dhermi - Travel along the coastal road to visit numerous villages with amazing vacation atmospheres and rich history. Dhermi village is renowned for its beautiful beaches and the old town.
Qeparo - Qeparo is another unique village. The old houses perched on the hill appear mysterious and stand grandly facing the Ionian Sea.
Himare - Himare is a small town with friendly locals who welcome thousands of vacationers during the summer season.
Porto Palermo Castle - Porto Palermo castle was constructed as a defensive fortress by Albanian ruler Ali Pashe Tepelena in the 18th century.
Saranda - This is the most visited place on the coast with a distinct vibe. Enjoy the nightlife, local seafood, or a stroll through the city.
Butrint – Gjirokaster
Butrint National Park - Today is dedicated to the area’s history. Travel further south to visit the archaeological park of Butrint. The ruins here date back to the 8th century B.C., representing a long history of the Illyrians, Greeks, Romans, and Byzantine empires. A guided walk through the city, surrounded by beautiful nature and ruins, will transport you to another world.
Ksamil - Not far from the park are the Ksamil Islands, renowned for their sandy beaches and views of Corfu Island, just 4km across the sea.
The Blue Eye - On the way to Gjirokaster, stop for a refreshment at the Blue Eye springs.
Gjirokaster - The next destination is the city of Gjirokaster, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Albania. The town features unique local architecture, earning it the nickname Stone City. The walking tour includes visits to the old bazaar, the castle, the bazaar mosque, and Gjirokaster Obelisk.
Gjirokaster Castle - Argjiro castle proudly stands atop the hill, visible from all over the city and the valley.
Nivice – Permet
Tepelene - Leaving behind popular destinations, head to the more rural countryside. Drive to Nivice village, a recently discovered location slowly becoming part of tour packages. On the way, stop at the birthplace of Ali Pasha, the city of Tepelene. The viaduct of Ali Pasha, built in the 19th century, is a testament to the area’s development during his reign.
Nivice - The adventure continues with a drive to Nivice village to enjoy views of deep canyons and a delicious lunch.
Permet - After lunch, leave the mountains to reach the stunning valley of the Vjosa River. Permet is a charming little town with friendly people and a relaxed atmosphere. It is known for excellent raki, gliko (typical fruit jam), and rose flowers.
Permet – Voskopoje - Korce
Benja Thermal Baths - Explore the area of the thermal baths, swim inside, and walk by Kadiu bridge.
Voskopoje - Voskopoje is a small village with a rich history and culture. It was the center of civilization in southeast Albania during medieval times. Walking around the village, explore numerous orthodox churches and the local spirit.
Korce – Tirane
Korce - As the journey nears its end, leave the mountains and arrive in the city of Korce. Known as “The Little Paris” due to its mystical history of the First World War, old bazaar, and stylish houses.
Lake Ohrid - Stop to enjoy the Albanian shores of Lake Ohrid, and visit the village of Tushemisht and Lin.
