• Hồ Chí Minh City People’s Committee - At 10:00 AM, the tour begins at the intersection of Nguyen Hue and Le Loi streets, offering views of the City Hall, the Opera House, and the flower garden in front of the City Hall with the statue of Ho Chi Minh. Visitors can experience the vibrant daily life of the friendly locals.
• Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral - At 10:40 AM, the tour proceeds to the Notre Dame Cathedral, where guests can explore the cathedral. Built in 1880 by French colonizers, the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon showcases Gothic architecture, a red brick interior, towering bell towers, and stunning stained-glass windows.
• Central Post Office - Next, guests will visit the Saigon Central Post Office, also known as the Old Post Office, completed in 1891. It exemplifies French architecture with arched windows, wooden shutters, and a grand clock face on the front interior. Visitors can send postcards and admire the ornate interior of this functioning post office.
• Reunification Palace, HCMC, Vietnam - Continuing on, guests will encounter the Reunification Palace (or Independence Palace). It was once the workplace of the Saigon puppet government – the Republic of Vietnam. On April 30th, 1975, the Southern Liberation Army breached the gates of the Independence Palace, leading to the unconditional surrender of the Saigon government. This marked the true freedom and official reunification of Vietnam.
• War Remnants Museum - At 12:30 PM, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant serving delicious Vietnamese cuisine. At 1:30 PM, after lunch, the tour continues to the War Remnants Museum, known as the Museum of American War Crimes. It is the only museum dedicated to showcasing exhibits on war crimes and their impact on the Vietnamese people by foreign aggressive forces.
• Ben Thanh Market - By 2:30 PM, the tour heads to Ben Thanh Market, the largest and most beautiful market in the city. As the biggest commercial market in Saigon, it offers a wide variety of goods at different prices. Visitors should be mindful of their belongings and negotiate when purchasing.
• Sai Gon Port Marine Service & Mechanical Co., Ltd - After visiting Ben Thanh Market, guests will return to the port in a private car. Arrival at the port is scheduled for an hour and a half before the ship’s departure time. The tour concludes at the port between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
