Day 1: SaiGon – CaiBe – CanTho (Lunch)
Cai Be - The journey begins at 8:00 am, heading south to the riverside town of Cai Be, located in the rural district of Tien Giang province within Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. Upon arrival around 10:00 am, travelers board a motorized boat to explore the Cai Be floating market, a prominent wholesale market in the area.
Participants will enjoy a sampan ride and paddle through narrow, natural waterways. A stop at a local home offers the opportunity to taste seasonal fruits such as longan, pineapple, watermelon, rambutan, papaya, and jackfruit. The journey continues with a cruise to Vinh Long city, followed by a car transfer to Can Tho, crossing the Can Tho bridge, a cable-stayed bridge over the Bassac River. The day concludes with hotel check-in and an overnight stay in Can Tho.
Day 2: CanTho – ChauDoc. (Breakfast)
Cai Rang Floating Market - The day starts early with a boat trip to the Cai Rang floating market, the largest wholesale market in the Mekong Delta, operating from 5:00 am until midday. Although not as bustling as in the past, it remains a fascinating experience for those unfamiliar with the Mekong Delta lifestyle. The journey continues with a long-distance cruise to Phong Dien, including a stop to walk along a peaceful country road, allowing visitors to appreciate the stunning scenery and observe the locals in their daily activities.
The tour proceeds by car to Long Xuyen, with a visit to an incense stick-making village. In the late afternoon, the group arrives in Chau Doc, a border town along the Tonle Bassac River. The adventure extends to the Tra Su cajeput nature reserve in Tinh Bien district. The Tra Su cajuput forest hosts 140 plant species and 70 bird species. This late afternoon boat trip offers an excellent opportunity for photography at the Tra Su bird sanctuary. The day ends with an overnight stay in Chau Doc.
Day 3: ChauDoc to Phnompenh Cambodia
Chau Doc - After breakfast, the group transfers to the boat pier for a speedboat departure to Phnompenh, departing at 7:30 am and arriving around 12:30 pm. The tour concludes here. (Visa on arrival at the Cambodia border: 35 USD, 1 photo 3x4cm).
