Great Tour with Theo - Cu Chi & Mekong Adventure! - We had a great time on the tour! From exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels to enjoying lunch, local singing, and the Mekong Delta River, everything was well-organized and fun. A special shoutout to our tour guide Theo, an amazing guy. Super helpful, funny, and incredibly informative. He made sure the day was engaging and never boring. Although it was raining, the experience was still totally worth it. Highly recommend this tour if you want a mix of history, culture, and local charm!

Great day at the tunnels - We had a great trip with Dat! The highlight of the day was the tunnels. It was interesting to learn about how they were made, used, and see the weapons the Vietnamese used in the jungle. The Mekong Delta portion of the day was more touristy and less impressive than the tunnels. You're shuttled from stop to stop to taste fruit, candy, etc. (and of course encouraged to buy things at each). If you're short on time, I would advise just doing the tour of the tunnels

Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta - Throughly enjoyed the full day tour! Our guide Bao was full of knowledge and if youre considering this tour I would request him as he was great. Would highly recommend the tour as it's a great insight into what happened during the war. We got to fire the weapons at an additional cost and after we got dropped to the Mekong Delta where we boarded a boat and sailed to 2 locations where we saw how coconut candy was made and also tried the honey from local bee's. If you're visiting Ho Chi Minh this is a must.

The tour itself was okay... - The tour itself was okay — nothing exceptional, but not terrible either. The guide was friendly enough, engaging and informative. Unfortunately, we spent the majority of the day either traveling or making stops at touristy shops (two in total), rather than truly exploring the natural or cultural sites the tour was supposed to focus on. What really bothered me, though, was the pressure at the end of the tour to leave a good review and especially to give tips — both to the guide, the driver (and before in to a lady on a boat in the Mekong delta, where tipping was presented as basically mandatory). I believe that if I’ve already paid for a tour, tipping should be optional and only given if the experience was truly outstanding. The same goes for reviews — they should reflect the actual experience, not be influenced by pressure from the guide.

Good tour but expect to bring a lot of cash to tip - There were many positive and negative things about this tour. Positives: - it was fun going through the tunnels, learning the history, visiting the different islands, trying the different fruits, etc Negative: - it felt like a lot of people were requesting tips and it ruined the experience for us. We had to listen to women singing traditional songs and then they gave us a tip jar. Then, our tour guide told us to tip $1 to the people rowing the boats on the Mekong delta since they rely on tourists money and don't make much. While we were on the boat, one guy kept talking about how poor he was, telling us a sob story, showing the calluses on his hands, etc. When we gave him the tip amount the tour guide told us to tip him, he didn't thank us and gave us a disapproving staring look. It was uncomfortable. Then at the end of our tour, our tour guide asked for tips, we gave tips to the driver and then to her and then she asked if we were going to give tips to the driver too as if what we gave her wasn't enough. I did feel bad though because I think 100k dong wasn't a good tip. I gave 50k to her and 50k to the driver but I didn't expect her to expect more. Half of it felt like forced shopping too. Honestly, I feel like we should have an option to pay for tipping in advance (increase the price of this tour and say tipping is included) so we don't have to worry about how much we are supposed to tip during the trip especially since we aren't familiar with how much to tip. Online, we are seeing mixed messages on if we are supposed to tip or not.

Interesting tour but poorly timed and didn’t meet expectations - This tour didn’t live up to our expectations. The tour picked us at 7:30am, and from the offset we found our seats very uncomfortable with very little leg room, and the tour guide talked over a microphone for the 1.5hr drive to the cu chi tunnels, which was a lot that early in the morning. The cu chi tunnels were very interesting, but there were a lot of groups and although our guide was very enthusiastic and friendly we couldn’t hear him at times over the other tours. Lunch was good. The afternoon then started to go down hill. We went way over time, 2.5 hours, and the guide didn’t keep us updated on timings or provide us any real insight into why we ran so late. The Mekong delta wasn’t what we expected, but this wasn’t helped by the fact we were doing most of it in the dark. Even at 6pm we were adding in small stops which we felt were unnecessary. A lot of stops also felt like money grabs with people selling to us and/or looking for tips for any service provided. We left the last stop at 6:30pm (the original end time for the tour) and got back just after 8:30pm to our hotel. We missed our dinner reservation and were exhausted and mildly irritated by the whole afternoon.
