Distillery Tour in Galena

One of the most enjoyable tours and tastings I’ve been on. Dennis really seem to know and care about what he was talking about

The establishment was neat but our tour was terrible. Our guide was an older gentleman named Steve. It started off in the main tasting room and bar area. We could not hear him at all with the noise of the bar and his microphone volume was not adjusted well. Even after he was asked to fix it it still was not set at an appropriate level. His information given did not have any flow and was very hard to follow. This was the same problem in the work area of the distillery. While he told us many facts - they didn't create a picture of what was happening. It was all very disjointed and hard to follow and stay focused. I don't feel like I learned very much. Most of the tour group was very bored - stepping out to the bar and scrolling on phones. The audience was not attentive because I don't think anyone could follow his presentation. He had no repoire with his audience. Also - the tour took 1 hour and 20 mintues - much longer than the 45-60 minutes that was the suggested time at sign up. We chose to leave right after and not enjoy the bar because we were very disappointed. I would not recommend this tour.

Cool venue, great "history"/story, awesome bartender; our tour guide was pretty uptight and seemed inconvenienced by answering questions
