Not a first trip to Malta, nor the last - Highlight was lunch in Nenu In Valetta. Lovely food and surroundings. High speed ferry to Gozo also a delight and change of scene. Downside was that the buses have become very crowded, much more than in previous years, made worse by the Sliema ferry not running for a few days due to weather. There are also more tourists than we have seen before at this time of year. It took over an hour to get a bus one day. Best to get out before most tourists turn out at 10:00 or walk round to Valetta on a nice day. Lots of nice walks around the island and plenty to do if weather is inclement. Great historical interest. Visit before they build on it all.
