Pick Up and Drive to Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park – An early morning pickup and drive to Tsavo West National Park (approximately a 3-hour drive) offers a glimpse of Kenya’s townships and the relaxed Hakuna Matata culture.

Enjoy a game drive en route to the hotel, followed by an evening game drive after lunch.

The park is rich in wildlife and birdlife inhabiting the savannah plains. It is recognized as home to the man-eaters, large red elephants, and one of the few remaining populations of Hirola antelopes in Kenya. Animals found in Tsavo West National Park include lions, elephants, cheetahs, wild dogs, antelopes, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, zebras, hyenas, lesser kudu, klipspringers, gerenuk, mongoose, nocturnal porcupines, fringe-eared oryx, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, and many others.

Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park Full Day

Tsavo West National Park – After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive on the way out of Tsavo West heading to Amboseli.

The drive is roughly 3 hours.

There is also an option to visit a Maasai village, allowing guests to experience Maasai culture at its best. This experience is highly interactive, and guests are encouraged to dance and jump along.

Amboseli National Park – Amboseli National Park is famous for its herds of elephants, other members of the Big Five, and Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Guests arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, staying late to watch the golden shades of the Amboseli sunset.

Amboseli Morning Game Drive and Return to Drop-Off Location

Amboseli National Park – After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive and begin the return journey to the drop-off location, arriving late in the afternoon.

Observation Hill – On this day, guests will also visit Observation Hill. This cone-shaped hill is situated in the western part of the park and is the only place where guests can get out of their vehicle and take a walk. The hill has clear volcanic origins and was formed during Mount Kilimanjaro’s activity in the Pleistocene. From the top, the view spans 360 degrees across the park, exposing its arid areas, marshlands, and lakes. If the day is clear, the view of Mount Kilimanjaro to the south is spectacular.

Tsavo East Safari: Witness the Red Giants of Kenya – Guests may opt to pass by Tsavo East on the return journey.

Guests can choose to pass by Tsavo East on the return from Amboseli. With this option, they arrive in Voi in time for lunch, followed by a short break before starting the adventure into Tsavo East National Park.

Tsavo offers scenic views and is a dry, unforgiving place where crowding into smaller spaces for access to water and habitat is common in the dry season, making animals more susceptible to predators.

Enjoy a 3-hour game drive as you head to the Bachuma Gate exit and continue with the return journey to the drop-off location.
