Diani to Tsavo East

Tsavo National Park East - Guests will be picked up from their hotel, airport, or port to embark on a 3-day safari from Diani to Tsavo East. Enjoy a picturesque journey through lush coconut and cashew nut farms en route to the Mombasa – Nairobi road leading to Bachuma gate, the first entrance to Tsavo East.

The safari begins at Tsavo East National Park. Enter this expansive park and start the first game drive in search of the Big Five. The Tsavo landscape is flat with short vegetation, making wildlife viewing easy and enjoyable.

Visit the renowned Aruba Dam, where abundant wildlife can be observed, especially during the dry season. Later, drive to the lodge for check-in and lunch. An afternoon game viewing drive is planned for later in the day.

This leisurely game viewing drive takes you along the trails of the Big Five with stunning views of the African sunset. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.

Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo National Park West - Rise before sunrise to begin a morning game drive before breakfast. Experience the beauty of an African sunrise over the savanna as you explore the vast park in search of lions, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, leopards, zebras, warthogs, and more. This is when wildlife is most active.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Tsavo West National Park. Visit the Rhino Sanctuary during this scenic game viewing en route. Arrive at Kilaguni Serena Lodge for check-in and lunch.

An afternoon game drive will follow, including a visit to the Shetani Lava Flow point, offering excellent distant views of Mt. Kilimanjaro with its snow-capped peaks. More wildlife will be spotted during this drive.

Return to Kilaguni Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Tsavo West to Diani Beach

Diani Beach - Before breakfast, enjoy a game viewing experience when nature is at its peak, with predators hunting and grazers feeding on the soft, dewy vegetation. This is when the natural colors dominate the scenic volcanic terrain.

Return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterward, check out and proceed for mid-morning game viewing with a visit to Mzima Springs.

At Mzima Springs, disembark to admire the underground source of sparkling clear waters and the surrounding greenery, which provides refuge to various birds and wildlife. “A welcome reprieve in this semi-desert terrain.” Observe hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish, and unique migratory birds. Then, exit the park and drive back to Diani Beach, arriving in the afternoon.
