Diani to Tsavo East

Tsavo National Park East - You will be picked up from your hotel, airport, or port to begin your 3-day safari from Diani to Tsavo East. Enjoy a scenic journey through lush coconut and cashew nut farms en route to the Mombasa – Nairobi road leading to Bachuma gate, the first gate to Tsavo East.

Your safari will start at Tsavo East National Park. Check into this vast national park and begin your first game drive in search of the Big Five. Tsavo’s landscape is plain with short vegetation, making wildlife viewing easy and more enjoyable.

Visit the famous Aruba Dam, where lots of wildlife can be seen, especially during the dry season. Later, drive to your lodge for check-in and lunch. An afternoon game viewing drive is scheduled for later in the day.

This relaxed game viewing drive will bring you to the trails of the Big Five with magnificent views of the African sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.

Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo National Park West - You’ll be up before sunrise to start your morning game drive before breakfast. Experience the splendor of an African sunrise that engulfs the savanna as you traverse the vast park in search of lions, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, leopards, zebras, warthogs, and more. It’s at this time that wild animals are most active.

Breakfast will be followed by a checkout and drive to Tsavo West National Park. Visit the Rhino Sanctuary during this en route scenic game viewing. Arrive at your Kilaguni Serena Lodge for check-in and lunch.

An afternoon game drive will follow, including a visit to the Shetani Lava Flow point, which provides excellent distant views of Mt. Kilimanjaro with its snow-capped peaks. More wild animals will be seen during this game drive.

Return to your Kilaguni Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tsavo West to Diani Beach

Diani Beach - Before breakfast, a game viewing exercise will be offered when nature is at its best, with predators out for the hunt and grazers browsing the soft, dewy vegetation. It’s at this time that natural colors dominate the scenic volcanic terrain.

Return to your lodge for breakfast. Thereafter, check out and proceed for mid-morning game viewing with a visit to Mzima Springs.

At Mzima Springs, you’ll disembark and marvel at the underground source of sparkling clear waters and the surrounding greenery, which offers refuge to various birds and wildlife.

“A welcome reprieve in this semi-desert terrain.” View hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish, and unique migratory birds. Thereafter, exit the park and drive back to Diani Beach. Arrive in Diani Beach in the afternoon.
