Special and unique moments in the endless desert - We visited Oman for the first time, and it couldn’t have been more wonderful. We booked the desert camping tour very spontaneously, everything was arranged to make the impossible possible. We were extremely lucky to have a very special person as our tour guide - Mohamed Al Mahdali. Kind, friendly, attentive. His professionalism comes with warmth and humor, making you feel comfortable. He kindly picked us up from the airport, and we immediately felt we were in good hands. We went to see camels in their natural habitat, it was lovely. The desert drive was an adventure. The night sky was unique, the stars truly took our breath away. The food prepared by the funny chef was varied and delicious. The campfire and tea warmed us from the inside before the cool night arrived. Every moment was special. From beginning to end, we were able to enjoy and experience everything fully. Mohamed also helped us with programs and ideas for the rest of our journey, allowing us to discover different beautiful places in the lovely city of Salalah. Thank you for this wonderful trip, especially big thank to Mohamed. We will keep this special time in good memory. Oman has won our hearts — we will come back, inshallah.

Wonderful night in the desert - We enjoyed a great overnight tour in the desert, which was a brilliant experience. Perfectls organized. Many thanks to the driver and guide Ibrahim, who gave us highly valuable insights into the Oman culture and society. We underestimated a little bit the temperature in the night ...it was really cold. Don't forget warm clothes.

3 day/2 night Empty Quarter tour - We had a great and unique experience visiting the Rub Al Khali desert with our guide Abo Salim. He was lovely, very knowledgable and a great offroad driver! We did the 3d/2n tour which allowed us to visit an oasis, but if you would like to see some of the first rows of large sand dunes the 2d/1n is likely plenty.

exceptional tour! - AMAZING experience! SUPER RECOMMENDED! Mohamed a trained guide who knows well Italian, helpful and nice as well as being a super driver on the dunes! He will entertain you believe me! The two of 200mt was an unforgettable experience, crazy sunset that I will always carry in my heart. Also the experience of the night in a tent really suggestive, typical dinner approved! A tour that I would absolutely do again, I would not change anything except the mattresses of camping ahahahah (too hard). I highly recommend to everyone a trip with Mohamed, fantastic!

An experience to try - A wonderful experience to try! Beautiful walking on the sand dunes barefoot and enjoying the sunset from there. Our guide Mohammed, a wonderful person who remained in our hearts, accompanied us on this journey. A perfect driver in the sand dunes, he made us have fun! We also visited incense plantations, black dromedaries in the desert and the lost city. After dark they prepared dinner in the desert based on meat of dromedary and not only. We all spent the evening together enjoying the starry night smoking hookah. Finally night in a tent and wake up in the morning to see the sunrise and have breakfast. Unforgettable experience! Thank you Mohammed Roberto and Ramona

Some emotions can't be told... - Yes. Certain emotions cannot be told but only experienced. And this experience gave me indescribable and unforgettable emotions. Our choice was the “magic night in the desert” option of Alpitour/Franco Rosso with accommodation at the Fanar in Salalah. We left the resort in the early afternoon, visited the valley of incense and the lost city of Ubar, arrived at the tented camp “Magic Camp” at 5pm. We settled in the tents assigned to us (to us the n. 13!!) then we climbed, barefoot, along a long wooden staircase that took us to the dunes... we walked a little more, then who lay down on the hot sand, who sat down, who stood... all wrapped in silence, in absolute peace, overwhelmed by gusts of wind and sand, to admire the spectacle of the setting of the sun. Then we went down, typical dinner sitting on colorful pillows, the stories of the guide "Amedeo" around the bonfire, under an incredible starry sky. Then everyone to sleep. Wake up at 5 o'clock, breakfast, and everyone in line with batteries to reach the dunes from where we would watch the sun rise. As we progressed, the sky took on all the colours of dawn, and the sand changed colour before our eyes. When we arrived, we sat down, the wind kicked up the sand, but the show in front of us left us speechless. We remained silent, endless photos to capture every moment. Then we went down to the camp for breakfast.. and finally we returned to the resort. Unforgettable experience!

Do not miss it!!! - A really nice experience, they picked us up from the hotel to go see the sunset in the dunes, passing by the expanse of incense trees and an archaeological site. The sunset in the dunes is truly magical, to see absolutely. We then went to a Bedouin camp, had dinner eating very well and near the fire we smoked the "Sciscia"... Wake up at dawn to enjoy another show and breakfast. Mohamed Ali was a great guide, thank you again for this experience ❤️

But the desert makes you want more... - I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a taste of the desert. As the journey (from Salalah) is around 200km, we decided to take the overnight tour and spend the night in a tent on the edge of the desert. The food in the camp was excellent and probably beats anything the hotel can offer. The tents are simple with a bed, sanitary facilities are centrally located on the property.

We would do it again! - Even the journey was an impressive experience. There are green meadows in the middle of the desert, mountains like pyramids and eternally long straights. The ride in the dunes and the sunset very special. Wonderful food and excellent beds in the Bedouin tent complete this day perfectly. Breakfast and the return journey is additional enjoyment.
