Ahsan Manzil - The guide and driver will meet in the hotel lobby in Dhaka at approximately 8:00 AM. The tour will then proceed according to the planned itinerary. Known as the Pink Palace due to its striking color, it served as the official residence and administrative seat of the Nawab of Dhaka. Construction began in 1859 and was completed in 1872, and it has since been recognized as a national museum. Built in the Indo-Saracenic Revival architectural style, during the Mughal era, Sheikh Enayet Ullah had a garden house here, later expanding it significantly and incorporating it into his garden house. He constructed a magnificent palace named “Rongmohol” (Rangmahal). Ahsan Manzil stands as a testament to Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage. The palace has endured through time, witnessing numerous events that have shaped the nation. Today, it is a popular tourist destination and a symbol of national pride and identity. Visiting Ahsan Manzil is essential for anyone interested in history and culture.

Dhakeshwari Temple - This is the most prominent and oldest temple in Dhaka. The architectural style of the temple does not correspond to that era. The sand and lime mortar used in its construction became common in Bengal after the Muslim conquest. However, the three-domed roof, three arched entrances, and plastered walls suggest it was built in the Mughal style. The temple’s architectural and structural features indicate its builder had minimal influence on Bengal’s culture. Many features, such as the large tank, banyan tree, garden, matha, resting place, and ashrama for sannyasis, and the practice of welcoming everyone inside the temple, show similarities to Arakanese religion and practices.

Antalya Bazaar - Shankhari Bazaar is one of the oldest areas in Old Dhaka. It extends along a narrow lane lined with intricately decorated brick buildings, constructed during the late Mughal or Colonial period. The area was home to the Shankhari Community (Hindu), named after Shankha, a decorative bangle made from conch shells. Shankha signifies a Hindu woman’s marital status. In the 17th century, the Mughal emperor brought the Shankhari people here, allocating this area to them, which later became known as Shankhar Bazaar.

Lalbag Fort - This is an incomplete 17th-century Mughal fort complex located near the Buriganga River in southwestern Dhaka. Construction began in 1678 AD by Mughal Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah, son of Emperor Aurangzeb and later an emperor himself. The fort remained unfinished when he was summoned by his father Aurangzeb. Shaista Khan, the new subahdar of Dhaka at the time, did not complete the fort. In 1684, Shaista Khan’s daughter, Iran Dukht Pari Bibi, passed away there. After her death, he considered the fort unlucky and left it incomplete. Among the three major parts of Lalbagh Fort is the tomb of Pari Bibi.
