Idaho Springs is a popular stop for those traveling on I-70 to and from the mountains. While the town is famous for its hot springs, it offers much more for adventure seekers.
• Echo Lake Park - Echo Lake is an alpine lake at the base of Mount Bluesky, one of Colorado’s majestic 14ers. Take time to stroll around the lake and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature.
• Mount Evans Scenic Byway - The Scenic Byway to Mount Blue Sky ascends over 7,000 feet along its 28-mile stretch, reaching an altitude of 14,130 feet. On this tour, the drive reaches 9,000 feet, stopping at Echo Lake at the base of Mount Bluesky. This drive provides visitors with scenic views of the Continental Divide.
