• Black Hawk - Black Hawk was a prominent war chief and leader of the Sauk tribe in the Midwest of the United States. He was renowned more for his role as a war leader, a “captain of his actions,” than as a tribal chief. Black Hawk established his reputation by leading raids and war parties during his youth.

• Central City - This city is a historic mining settlement established in 1859 during the Pike’s Peak Gold Rush and became known as the “Richest Square Mile on Earth.” Central City and the neighboring city of Black Hawk form the federally designated Central City/Black Hawk Historic District.
• Nederland - On the journey to Nederland, there will be a stop at the Apex mining camp, which flourished during the late 1800s and early 1900s. It was regarded as the capital of the Pine Creek Mining District in the 1800s. Today, several historic structures remain in this Gilpin County treasure. It becomes accessible after the winter snow clears from the roads in the high country, typically around April.
• Estes Park - Lunch will be enjoyed in Estes Park, with time set aside to explore the local artisan and snack shops on Main Street.
• Rocky Mountain National Park - Majestic views extend in every direction, along with the breathtaking scenes expected from a Colorado mountain town: gold-medal fishing rivers, iconic peaks, fertile valleys teeming with wildlife, plus one unexpected gem - a national park.
