Depending on the season, the best destination will be selected based on current trail and snow conditions—many higher elevation trails remain snow-covered well into June. In such cases, a beautiful lower-elevation lake will be chosen instead.
These hikes generally cover 4 to 6 miles round trip, reaching elevations between 9,000 and 12,000 feet. Expect to spend around three hours on the trail, surrounded by wildflowers, evergreens, and expansive mountain vistas. The drive to these trailheads typically takes between one and one and a half hours from Denver.
Popular spots include the shimmering Silver Dollar Lake with its striking ridgeline, the serene and wooded Lost Lake, the wildflower-rich basin of Lake Isabelle, and the secluded twin Crater Lakes nestled beneath rugged cliffs. Each location provides a unique and unforgettable alpine adventure.

It was amazing! The guide... - It was amazing! The guide is very nice. The views are incredible and he brought some snacks, hot chocolate and sandwiches for us, it was good!

I was very lucky since it... - I was very lucky since it turned into a private tour! Jeremy, the guide, picked me up , perfectly adapted to my wishes and the weather conditions, since there was quite some snow blocking our way. So I got to see the first lake very close and the second lake from further away. We climbed to another peak, as far as possible and had a great view on two of the lakes, Mt. Bierstadt and Mt. Blue Sky. After a smooth hike to the woods and some workout through deeper snow with snowshoes, the lunch package tasted even better. I can highly recommend this tour and this guide.

Great views and conversation - Great drive to the mountain with plenty of views. Hiking was great and Jeremy brought plenty of supplies for my group to use. He knew the terrain and was able to explain about Denver, Boulder, and the Rockies. We took plenty of short micro breaks and we had a good lunch overlooking a lake. Can’t recommend this trip any higher

Awesome hike - Silver Dollar Lake Trail - My first trip to Denver and this hike didn’t disappoint.  The scenery was fantastic, and the hike was just difficult enough.  Our group of 4 had the best time.  Jeremy was awesome.  He had everything covered from pick up to drop off.  He was extremely knowledgeable about the local area and terrain.  Can’t recommend enough.  Will definitely reach out again the next time I am in Denver.

NEED MORE TOURS LIKE THIS - Perfect adventure for my needs and pace!! Very patient and knowledgeable. Others tours I’ve been on I felt like a number in a marathon, on this tour I got to really enjoy the experience and scenery. Very accessible and necessary!! Thank you!

10/10 would recommend - Jeremy is awesome. When we chose to do this hike there was an avalanche warning for the original trail, but Jeremy took us instead to an equally as nice hike up to Lost Lake. He’s very knowledgeable about the area, and very friendly. Had a blast talking to him about the Denver area as well as all his travels around the world. Would definitely recommend this trip.
