- Bajra Sandhi Monument - The construction of the Bajra Sandhi Monument began in 1981 and faced several delays. It is situated in Niti Mandala, Renon, Denpasar, an area predominantly occupied by government offices. The monument stands proudly in the center of a lush field, popular for activities like jogging, soccer, and basketball, especially in the early mornings or evenings, and is bustling with activity on Sunday mornings.
- Badung Market Denpasar Bali - Known locally as Pasar Badung, this is Bali’s largest traditional market. It operates around the clock, serving as a primary source of fresh produce for locals. Stalls open before dawn, offering fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers from central highland suppliers, and remain open late into the night, creating a vibrant night market atmosphere. The market features a spacious ground level next to its parking area and a four-story building (currently under renovation after a fire) with shops selling non-perishable items like batiks, fabrics, household goods, kitchenware, and farming tools. The ground level is particularly popular, with its lively stalls offering fresh tropical fruits, flowers, meats, poultry, and other groceries.
- Pura Jagatnatha - Constructed in 1953, Jagatnatha Temple is dedicated to the supreme deity, Sanghyang Widi Wasa. The name “Jagatnatha” originates from the Sanskrit word “jagat,” meaning world. Two lunar-based festivals are celebrated here monthly. Visiting during the full moon and new moon can be a memorable experience. Regardless of the time, visitors will always find devotees in prayer at this magnificent temple.
- Taman Ayun Temple - Taman Ayun Temple serves as a primary worship site for the Mengwi people, eliminating the need to travel to larger temples like Besakih in Karangasem, Batukaru in Tabanan, or Batur in Kintamani. It also symbolizes unity between the Mengwi royalty and the people. The temple’s towering tiers reflect the Mengwi people’s reverence for their deified ancestors, as it is considered the mother temple of Mengwi.
- Alas Kedaton - Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest is located in Kutuh Village, Marga district, Tabanan, about 25km northeast of Denpasar and 4.5 kilometers from Tabanan regency. Although theoretically part of Mengwi, the Tabanan royal family has significant influence over this temple. Within the forest lies the temple known as Pura Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton.
- Tanah Lot Temple - Tanah Lot Temple is a historic Hindu shrine perched on a rock formation amidst crashing waves, making it one of Bali’s must-see landmarks. The area features smaller shrines and visitor amenities, including restaurants, shops, and a cultural park with regular dance performances. Located in Beraban village, Tabanan regency, about 20km northwest of Kuta, it is a highlight on tours of Bali’s western and central regions.
