Snorkel, fun, and sun - Bula! Credit card only, but it was a great day! The weather was supposed to be 90% chance of thunderstorms. It rained periodically, but it didn’t dampen the fun! Snorkeling is a must! You don’t have to go out far to see blue starfish and lots of other fish! The coral is amazing! Life jacket is recommended because the coral is abundant so you can’t stand. The pool is cool and has a waterfall ledge. The staff is super friendly!

A Slice of Paradise - Perfect Day at Malamala Beach Club - I had a great time at Malamala Beach Club. It's a paradise island with incredible facilities. Great place for relaxation, snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding. Not to mention the massage, which was invigorating.

Excellent service! - Our Experience at Malamala Beach Club was 10 out of 10. We hired the Grand Deluxe Cabana for the day for our group celebrating our daughter's 21st Birthday. It was magic! Oscar our host was very attentive to all our needs and nothing was too much trouble. His service went well and truly beyond expectations, organising the staff to come and sing her 'Happy Birthday' and also again at the end of the day with some staff playing the guitar and singing a song where it is not goodbye and we will see you again soon. They also weaved her a hat with hibiscus flowers and a fan as gifts for her birthday. What a fabulous experience, we would recommend everyone visiting Fiji to make this a 'Must do". Also the snorkeling and water sports were unreal! We couldn't recommend it enough!

Pretty good beach and snorkeling experience - Malamala beach club was a good experience for us: it wasn't too busy so it didn't feel like a theme park. It has beautiful views, and the water was pretty clear and warm. It's great if you want to swim, snorkel, paddle-board or kayak, but especially if you just want to relax on the beach. The snorkeling was pretty good but I got stung by some small jellyfish that happened to be in the area at the time. Negatives are: there are a limited number of lounge chairs for those who don't pay extra for the platforms (there were enough of them but all in one area so there's no privacy), and the food is just ok, not great. I had the tandoori chicken buns which were dry. Considering they have a captive audience, I'd say they don't overcharge for the food or drinks. We stayed until the 5:15 boat; by then the staff were relaxing a bit and they were very friendly and nice. You can tell they take good care of their little island, keeping it very clean and nice.

Find out about the tides... - Find out about the tides if you can otherwise your snorkelling experience time may be limited. Fabulous day, stay in the shade as much as possible. Don't forget your sunscreen

Advertising is not authentic - The beach on the far side if the Island was lovely until the tide went out and you couldn’t swim in the water. We rented a cabana which was also lovely in the morning but in the afternoon it just became too hot and as you couldn’t swim in the ocean we couldn’t stay at the cabana so moved to the other side to the pool. The cabana came with your “own private butler”. Not so. The guy has to serve 4 cabanas and was there early to get drinks but then wasn’t around at all. The pools are tiny. More like the size of an oversized bath. People who arrived on the first boat wanted to leave early. If you are staying at a resort without a beach Malamala might have some appeal but if you are at a resort without a beach and a decent pool Malamala is not worth the trip. If you want to go somewhere to just drink then go to Malamala. Otherwise don’t waste your time time or money
