Castner Glacier Ice Cave Adventure Day
Delta Junction - Delight in the breathtaking mountain views and keep an eye out for wildlife like moose and caribou, which are frequently spotted crossing the road en route to Castner Glacier. Upon reaching the trailhead, embark on a 1.5-mile hike to the ice cave. Please dress appropriately for cold weather. Revel in the stunning vistas of the Delta Range, an eastern segment of the Alaska Range. Ice caves are remarkable due to their rarity and their location far from permafrost zones—at low elevations (near sea level) and low latitudes (between approximately 30° and 70°), where they maintain a significantly lower average annual temperature than the air above. After returning from your hike, we will head back to North Pole, where you will have some free time to explore the world-famous Santa Claus House. Drop-off at your hotel or Airbnb is around 5 pm.
Chena Hot Springs Spa Day and Aurora Chasing Tour
Chena Hot Springs Resort - Today is a day to unwind and relax at one of Alaska’s finest destinations, Chena Hot Springs. Visit the unique Ice Museum and enjoy a drink at the ice bar. Admission for Hot Springs and Ice Museum is included, with an additional $15 if you wish to purchase a drink at the ice bar.
Murphy Dome - After a day at Chena Hot Springs, you will have the afternoon to relax, and your guide will pick you up at 10:30 pm for your Aurora Chasing Tour. The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are a magnificent natural spectacle, often seen dancing in vibrant colors across the northern sky. Enjoy the privacy of your group on this tour. We provide tea and coffee. Please note that the Aurora is a natural phenomenon, and sightings are not guaranteed.
