Zeus sent out two eagles from the ends of the universe to find the navel of the world and they met in Delphi so the site was thought to be the centre of the world. The sanctuary was dedicated to Mother Earth. The most powerful woman of the ancient world, Pythia, influenced through her prophecies important decisions in the oracle of Delphi. Recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO it is one of the most significant and visited sites of Greece as it played a key role in the ancient world.

A wonderful day and wonderful guide! - We had an exceptional day touring Delphi and Thermopylae from Volos with George. George was waiting for us when we arrived. His van is modern, clean, and very comfortable with large windows to view the passing scenery. George is an very professional guide who has a wealth of knowledge about his homeland and is happy to answer any questions you may have along the way. We also had a very safe and comfortable drive. We had a bit of extra time after touring Dephi so George gave us the option of going to a nearby town for some sightseeing and lunch which we very much enjoyed. We recommend George and AllWays Greece without hesitation. Thanks George for a wonderful day!

An amazing excursion! - My family and I had a wonderful trip to Delphi. Our driver/guide George was phenomenal. He was very helpful and able to provide interesting insight and information throughout our trip. As well, he was very responsive to our needs. I would definitely recommend George and this excursion to other families.
