Discovering Siargao’s Hidden Gems: A Family Adventure

When I heard about the Siargao Private Tour, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for a family adventure. With promises of enchanting lagoons and idyllic islands, I couldn’t resist booking this experience for us. Little did I know, it would become the highlight of our Siargao trip.

A Morning of Magic at Sugba Lagoon

Our adventure began bright and early, with the sun just peeking over the horizon as we set off for Sugba Lagoon. The kids were still a bit groggy, but the promise of a day filled with water activities had them buzzing with excitement. Our guide, Joseph, was a gem from the start, making sure we were comfortable and even stopping at a local bakery for some delicious pastries to fuel our day.

Arriving at Sugba Lagoon, we were greeted by a serene, mystical landscape that seemed straight out of a fairy tale. The early start paid off as we had the lagoon to ourselves for a blissful half-hour. The kids were thrilled to try paddle boarding for the first time, and I must admit, I was a bit nervous watching them wobble on the boards. But Joseph was right there, offering tips and snapping photos of our little adventurers. The calm salt waters and towering rock formations made for a perfect backdrop, and I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this precious family moment.

Island Hopping Fun: Kauhagan and Pamomo-an

After a few hours of fun at Sugba Lagoon, we set sail for Kauhagan Island. The boat ride was a delight in itself, with Elvis, our driver, sharing fascinating stories about the islands and their history. Kauhagan Island welcomed us with its unique tongue-shaped sandbar, stretching out into the crystal-clear waters. The kids were fascinated by the diverse marine life, and we spent a good amount of time snorkeling and exploring the underwater world.

Pamomo-an Island was our next stop, and it was like stepping into a postcard. The long stretch of white sand and the gentle sea breeze made it the perfect spot to unwind. We laid out our towels, enjoyed a picnic, and simply soaked in the beauty around us. The kids built sandcastles while my husband and I took a leisurely stroll along the beach, hand in hand. It was one of those rare moments where time seemed to stand still, and I was reminded of why I love writing about family travel so much.

A Day to Remember

As the day came to a close, we headed back to Del Carmen, our hearts full and our spirits high. Joseph and Elvis had made the day truly special with their attentiveness and warmth. They even shared some travel tips for our future adventures, which I eagerly jotted down in my travel journal.

Reflecting on the day, I realized that it wasn’t just the stunning scenery that made this tour unforgettable. It was the genuine kindness and hospitality of the people we met along the way. This experience was a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from exploring new places with loved ones and the memories that are created when we step out of our comfort zones.

If you’re planning a trip to Siargao, I can’t recommend the Siargao Island Tour enough. It’s a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and family bonding that will leave you with stories to tell for years to come.
