• Debre Libanos - Debre Libanos is a significant monastery established by the esteemed 13th-century Saint Tekle Haymanot. He devoted 29 years to prayer in a cave near the present-day monastery.
• Portuguese Bridge - Before returning to Addis Ababa, there will be a stop at the Jemma River Gorge, a tributary of the Blue Nile River, offering a breathtaking 1000-meter drop to the valley below.

The journey includes a downhill walk to the 17th-century Portuguese Bridge, where visitors can observe numerous wild birds and one of Ethiopia’s most captivating mammals, the Gelada, also known as the bleeding heart baboon.

The Portuguese Bridge, which has been restored over time, presents a picturesque view. During the rainy season, the powerful cascade of water beneath it enhances its beauty.

Bird species that may be spotted include banded barbets, black-headed forest orioles, white-billed starlings, red-billed starlings, white-winged cliff chats, white-backed black tits, white-cheeked turacos, and Hemprich’s hornbills.

After departing from the Gorge, the journey will continue back to Addis Ababa.
