Mega top - ES was just mega, the best thing for me was being allowed to put my hand in the pelvis with instructions. And feel cleaning prawns on your hand. But everything else was great.

Great family outing - Great trip to Sealife Timmendorfer Strand. Especially the rays and the water turtle gave the children joy.

Great experience - We were with our 4 year old twins for the first time in a Sea Life. Without exception all staff was very warm to us. Time was taken to explain and admire everything. And the two are very happy about the shark tooth they received as a gift. Thanks for the great family experience.

Visit Sea Life Timmendorfer Stramd - We were very surprised and positively enthusiastic about the visit, especially since we were at Sea Life Oberhausen a week earlier and it was something else here again. Booking in advance in a time slot is perfect and should definitely be used. When we entered our timeslot of 12.20h/12.40h, the next possible entry was via the ticket office 16.00h. It was very well attended on Pentecost Saturday 2025 in bad weather. There are many accompanying persons on site and tell/explain/answer questions about the animals at the respective stations. The station is particularly interesting for touching and touching several basins. Again, there was a super presenter who showed the limits and rules at these touch basins, but at the same time gave the children freedom to discover again. We stayed there about 2.5h and I can only recommend it. T. from Unna

Too small, too expensive - You're through everything in less than an hour. The feeding times were well moderated. Otherwise ES was very crowded despite booked time slot. Not worth the money. 10,- € would already be at the top limit.

Dont go! - A disappointing, unethical, and deeply disturbing experience – Sea Life should be investigated for animal welfare violations
This is not entertainment. It’s an example of how animal cruelty is sold under the guise of a “family-friendly experience.” We paid €18 per person and in return got an experience that was both appalling and grossly irresponsible – towards both animals and visitors.
The photos and descriptions Sea Life uses to promote the attraction are blatantly misleading. They promise a wide range of species and interactive experiences. The reality? A confined, clinical, and claustrophobic space where animals are kept in conditions that are far too small and unnatural. We walked through the entire aquarium in just 11 minutes. We had seen everything – and already regretted going.
The animals have minimal space. Fish, sharks, and a large sea turtle are crammed into small tanks. The sea turtle, which Sea Life proudly advertises, was swimming in circles in a tank far too small – along with two small sharks. It swam the same loop over and over, a clear sign of stress and poor welfare.
They also promise a “touch tank.” It does not exist in any real form. You can run your hand over a few small fish and corals while an employee speaks into a microphone. It’s hollow and superficial. The entire experience feels more like a marketing ploy than genuine education about marine life.
After the visit, you’re left with a sinking feeling that you’ve just supported something you never should have. This is not education. It is animal exploitation. I urge anyone who cares about animal welfare to boycott this place and report it to the appropriate authorities.
This facility should be investigated for violations of animal welfare law.

Far too expensive for what is offered. - Very disappointed with the store. There is a sign at the entrance where it says only online ticket possible. Which never worked in life. Then we noticed that there are also tickets to buy at the ticket office. There was not even an excuse for that miserable. We had walked through it in a time between 30 and 45 minutes. Bottom line; way too expensive and way too small everything in there.

A visit to the catacombs of the Sea-Life Timmendorf... - After visiting the Oceaneum in Stralsund last year, which only thrilled us for several hours, we registered with our grandchildren for a visit to Sea-Life in Timmendorf, this time online. Previously, we were in line the previous day when we were told that no visitors would be admitted due to overcrowding. The way of Grömitz had thus been in vain.
(Yes, we should have inquired before.)
What a contrast! The entrance fee was comparable to Stralsund, but what we were offered at Sea-Life was totally unacceptable. Not only the building from the outside had become old, but in particular the dark, catacomb-like exhibition in the basement. The basins were barely illuminated, the walls and floors in their raw state. Some of the pools were not in operation due to alleged conversion. The air was stuffy and hot due to the crowds, so that one lost the joy of the (modest) underwater world shown.
The fact that you should be able to spend 90 minutes on average in this inhospitable environment, which is in a state of need of renovation both on the outside and inside, we think is massively exaggerated.
This attraction is by no means recommended.
