Participants start their adventure by checking in at the local surf shop before taking a short walk to the beach to meet their professional surf instructor. Instructors are easily recognizable by their bright lime green rash guards and offer personalized coaching tailored to each guest’s comfort and skill level.
Most newcomers manage to stand up during their initial surf lesson, creating an unforgettable Florida vacation memory.

Meet our staff at Three Brothers Boards Retail Board Shop, 212 S Beach St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 for check-in and waivers. Look for team members in bright lime green shirts. After check-in, guests will drive their own vehicle less than 2 minutes to the nearby beach lesson location.

Exceeded our expectations! - Booked another lesson at Three Brothers during our latest trip to Daytona, and it did not disappoint. Conditions were choppier than last time, but the Spencer, the instructors clearly knew how to work with whatever the ocean gave him. Spencer was fantastic, patient, encouraging, and really good at reading how to adjust the lesson on the fly given the rockier surf.
We’re in the Daytona area a few times a year and Three Brothers has officially become our go-to. I haven't surfed in nearly 20+ yrs and while the lesson wasn't for me he encouraged me to give it a go and took me out to catch a few waves. Already planning to book with them again next time we’re in town for surf lessons as well as any of the other activities I learned they are involved in. Highly recommend if you want a crew that’s genuinely top notch!

Surf Lesson - Absolutely fantastic experience. My surf instructor Spence was super patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging the whole time! He broke everything down so clearly and made me feel comfortable in the water right away. I actually stood up on the board way faster than I expected because of his guidance. He was super supportive, really attentive, and made the whole lesson fun and stress-free. Honestly a 10 out of 10. I’d recommend him to anyone.

Unforgettable First Surf Lesson at Three Brothers! - We can’t say enough good things about our experience at Three Brothers! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and their easygoing, candid nature immediately put my son Barrett at ease — any pre-lesson nerves melted away within minutes.
Barrett’s instructor, Spenser, was simply amazing. He was relatable, warm, and built an instant connection with Barrett, earning his trust almost immediately. Thanks to Spenser’s encouragement, Barrett caught his very first wave on his first try! Spenser’s genuine excitement and enthusiasm made the moment even more special and gave Barrett a huge confidence boost. Since the lesson, Barrett hasn’t stopped talking about it, he’s already asking when he can go again, whether we can buy him a surfboard, and where he might be able to surf back home in Illinois! Lol
We also want to give a huge shoutout to Mike, the photographer included with the lesson. He was there the entire time and didn’t miss a single moment, the photos and videos he captured were incredible, and that was even before he headed back to edit them further.
This was a truly special morning for our family, and we couldn’t recommend Three Brothers more highly. Ask for Spenser and Mike, you won’t be disappointed!

BEST VACATION ACTIVITY!! SURFING!! Surf lessons - We were in town for a week in Ormond beach and decided to try surf lessons offered by three brother board, and OMG! My twins had a BLAST!!! They are 19 and had a fantastic time!!! Spence was a great instructor, he was knowledgeable, professional and they had so much fun with him!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this activity for families with kids. Teenagers especially!!! Get them out ON THE WATER!! We will definitely be doing this again!!! BEST PART OF OUR VACATION IN THE DAYTONA AREA!!! Great value for the money! Thanks for a great experience! Xoxox

THREE BROTHERS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO TO FOR YOUR SURFING, PADDLE BOARDING AND TOURS!!! - Three Brothers is the best and I would only recommend them for any tour or surf lessons!!
This was the best and most helpful surf lesson I have ever had!! Before they take you out the lesson starts at their store location to put you on a surf simulator. This helps them and you get to know your comfort, balance, and give you a feel for what it will be like on a wave. Justin came in on his day off since there was only one day that I would be able to take my lesson. For an owner to do that shows how much he cares about sharing his knowledge to people who want to learn.
He taught me how to spot the waves, helped me learn how to paddle, fixed my popup technique, taught me about safety in the currents, taught me what board would work well for me and so much more. I was catching waves and popping up in on my own by that day.
While we waited for the waves, I got to know a lot about the area, The Three Brothers business, and all the amazing tours they provide. I will be coming back to experience. all the different tours they provide. They have so much knowledge and are such wonderful fun people too!!

Excellent surf lesson experience - Our son Alfie had a fantastic morning with Justin and Josh on his surf lesson, and was very quickly standing and 'riding the waves'. From the get go Justin was chatty and engaging with Alfie putting him at ease and he had the best morning. We were so impressed with Three Brothers that we have booked a kayaking tour at Silver Springs with them for the end of the week. The staff in the shop were just as helpful and friendly when we went in to book. 5 out of 5 company for us.

Spenc was able to teach a poor MN tourist how to surf! 🤙🏻 - I came to FL from MN to visit my folks. On the last day of the trip, I did a surfing lesson. No contest, it was the highlight of the vacation! Spenc was my instructor, and he was super personable and friendly. He’s a great instructor too, as he was able to get me standing on a surfboard within the hour! I’m DEFINITELY going here again when I come back to refresh my surfing skills! Next time, I’ll be standing up within minutes!
