Stop scrolling and book this one. - We had a really great time on this tour. Everything was very well done. Pick-up was convenient and punctual, the van was very clean and nice, and we learned so much about Utah just on the drive to the Lake from our guide Garth. The small group size made it easy to ask questions and added to the relaxed vibe and pace of this tour. We saw a lot of wildlife and got about as close as you could safely get to a herd of bison. Our guide answered literally every question we threw at him, from questions about plant-life on the island to where to get the best tacos in Salt Lake City. It was an easy walk to the viewpoint to see the sunset, which was beautiful. Overall, this tour provided an easygoing way to soak in a ton of beautiful views and information. The only “con” if there was one was not the tour at all, it was the gnats. They were pretty abundant on the island. Our guide was prepared with bug spray, which helped. I was also glad I’d worn long pants and long sleeves, which protected my arms and legs. It ultimately wasn’t a huge deal and we enjoyed the whole experience very much!

Excellent island visit - The island visit was incredible! We saw lots of bison and saw some antelope. The views from the top of the island were spectacular. Watching the sunset, in such an amazing setting, was the highlight of our whole trip. Our guide, Rick, was personable and knowledgeable about the island and area.

Great hike, wildlife sightings and cost saving tour - It was a nice drive up from Salt Lake City and getting to see lots of animals along the drive to the island such as buffalo, antelope, deer, wild rabbits, barn owls, and various birds. The animal sightings may vary. I went in early April so bug activity was low but there's bug spray available in the car. I appreciated the binoculars for viewing animals that were far away and blend in with nature such as the barn owls in a field. I regretted not bringing my DSLR camera. I chose to book this trip rather than renting my own car, paying park fees, paying for gas and parking overnight and it really saves you money. Plus having a tour guide to spot all the animals and hiking up to see the sunset over the water was really nice. It is not something that would have been easy to navigate as a visitor. I really appreciated Rick's historical knowledge of Utah and pointing out things along the drive and dropping me off safely at night. I don't normally write reviews even for great experiences but wanted to share as I recommended this to lots of people already! I appreciate that the tour wasn't canceled despite low booking on the only day I was available. Thank you!

Fantastic, Very Chill, Tour of Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake at Sunset - This tour, with Garth as our guide, was fantastic. We were picked up at a hotel very close to ours, and only had one other person on it. I can't imagine that's a typical thing, but it made for a very chill tour...we never felt rushed and always had plenty of time to just soak in the beauty of the park. While the weather was cloudy, we were still treated to an amazingly beautiful sunset, and before that we got to see fantastic views, buffalo, antelope, and other animals wandering the park. Garth gave us plenty of time to take pictures and just soak it all in. We couldn't have asked for a better tour, a better guide, or a more beautiful place. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who's visiting the Salt Lake City area.

Recommend! - Enjoyable ride around the Antelope island + a short walk uphill to admire the sunset. The guide had the best playlist in his car - that is, compared to other Viator tours we have taken - and gave us most interesting information on wildlife and pollution near Great Salt Lake.

Wild Life Experience - Kids had a great experience watching small bison herds from up close or a far. Rick the tour guide always kept us safe. Whether observing or on walking path. Note Eat before or bring healthy snacks to hold you over until after 845pm. The view at Buffalo Point was spot on and the peak of the trip. Recommended for all ages of course appropriate footwear
