【Cooking Classes】
Languages: The class is primarily conducted in English, but Alex also speaks Chinese and some basic Japanese, so language barriers are minimal.
Classes are held daily except on Mondays.

Bring your children (under 12 years old) along for free if they aren’t cooking. They can enjoy your meal. If they wish to cook, please reserve a spot for them. Contact Alex via WhatsApp for assistance.

This cooking class provides a cultural immersion experience in Dadaocheng, seamlessly combining Taipei’s rich history with genuine flavors. Participants will go beyond basic recipes to truly master Taiwanese cuisine by preparing dishes from scratch, revealing the fundamental techniques behind each creation.
The adventure begins at Dihua Old Street and the traditional market, where connections between food, religion, and heritage are explored. To ensure a personalized experience, class sizes are limited to six participants.
Under the guidance of Alex, our LGBTQ+-friendly sessions facilitate integration into the local lifestyle. This experience turns a meal into a historical exploration, allowing participants to savor the essence of old Taipei.

- Taiwanese Risotto, Youfan ingredients include: Sticky rice, pork, dried mushrooms, dried shrimps, daikon radish, pork ribs, and shallots.
- Braised Beef Noodle Soup ingredients include: Beef, garlic, bean paste, green onion, tomato, chili, and spices.
- Stir-fried Rice ingredients include: Spring onion, spices, pork, peas, corn, and bean oil.
- Luroufan, the Braised Pork Rice ingredients include: Pork, shallots, pig skin, spices, and garlic.
