A nice overview of Darwin - This is nice short hop on hop off bus ride that gives you plenty of time to see the sights without spending all day on the bus.

Explored in the comfort... - Explored in the comfort of A/C with a good speaker system (not earplugs with jacks as husband has hearing issues!) Our driver was so kind to find my tickets by the reservation number as Viator would not bring them up on their app! We did not "Hop off" anywhere due to time constraints. A lovely way to see Darwin in comfort!!

See the best of Darwin - The bus and staff are wonderful. The problem is there is only 1 bus so it’s either 1 or 1 1/2 hour wait to get to the next stop. A great way to get around Darwin and learn about the city. Great stops and a super selection for cruise passengers.

Fixed Route - I wanted to see as much of Darwin as I could, so I had a look at the route for this service.. .truthfully you can't do it justice in one day and really need a two day pass for this bus. Through the Visitor Centre that is what I arranged... and they were able to ensure the two days were not consecutive. All I had to do is notify the driver of what day I wished the second day to be, when I traveled that first time. There is commentary on the bus that is amusing and informative. The staff on board were quite good, one gentleman in particular went the extra distance. (Friday 21st -early shift) I managed to see most things on the tour... I was very conscious of the time when I left the service, knowing my time was limited to catch the required service back. A few things could certainly improve this... they have a couple of stops that are by request only... Cullen Bay would be a great place to go and have breakfast, but alas it only stops at the ferry and on a hot day... bit yucky to walk. Parap Street is also by request only ... there is a Qantas Hangar nearby that might be interesting to see, but there is a fear getting off at that stop in case you are overlooked on the return. For the most part... I really enjoyed my two day pass and would recommend this to others.

Bad for cruise excursions - Cruised into port at 12 noon on a Monday. I had pre-purchased tickets for 24 hour use and boarded the bus at 1:15. I quickly learned I could only make one lap of the circuit, 45 minutes, as the bus ended at 3 pm. It also didn't run on Tuesdays, so full price for 45 minutes and no chance for hop off and hop on.

Bad timing - Cruise ship and Anzac Day is not a good time to get the big bus . Waiting at cruise ship terminal in hot weather with no cover. Signage said 4 to 5 buses and 20 minutes waiting time. We waited a hour in hot sun no cover some buses were overcrowded and some had plenty of seats vacant. Bus brake down drivers seem frustrated as passengers were trying to get on crowded buses. So if you’re on holiday and a cruise ship in port be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Please bring your commentary into the 21st Century - Appalling commentary. A bogan spin on the white history of Darwin. Cringeworthy. And never ending. Went to the upper level to try and escape it but no luck. Seeing Darwin on foot now. BTW some brilliant history at the NT Galkery & Museum.

Failed hop on/hop off bus experience - Bus only runs till 3pm & only 3 days a week. Phone numbers given for local contact were both inactive or wrong numbers. We were extremely unhappy & very disappointed in ViaTour, Not your usual service! Will deal with this when we get back home.
