Darwin - Begin the journey by departing from Darwin and venturing into the Wetlands Region, where the breathtaking scenery of the top end is on full display.
Mary River Wetlands - Along the route, there are numerous opportunities to observe a wide variety of Top End birdlife, as well as some fresh and saltwater apex predators, including crocodiles!
Bowali Visitors Centre - Continue the journey to Kakadu National Park, where accommodations for the next two nights in Jabiru await. The Bowali Visitor Centre provides a wonderful introduction to the Park’s landscape and wildlife, allowing time to appreciate it before checking into local accommodations.
Cahills Crossing - After some relaxation, travel northeast to *Cahills Crossing on the border of Kakadu and Arnhem Land.
Ubirr - Visit one of the world’s best-preserved collections of Aboriginal Rock Art at Ubirr rock at sunset. This significant site showcases various styles of rock art and offers a climb to a high vantage point for a sunset view over the Nadab Floodplain that is truly breathtaking.
Jabiru - After a full day, return to the cozy private camp to prepare dinner together, enjoying the evening with fellow travelers.

Hike Distance and Grading: 1km loop Grade 2-3.
Jim Jim Falls - Plunge Pools - Jabiru Return
Kakadu National Park - Rise early on day 2 and head south into Kakadu National Park. Spend the day enjoying the area’s spectacular natural beauty, hiking through lush monsoon rainforests, and swimming in pristine plunge pools and waterfalls surrounded by steep escarpments and rocky cliffs.
Jim Jim Falls - Aim to visit one or more of the available waterfalls, depending on the group’s physical ability to complete the hike(s). Options may include Motor Car Falls, Jim Jim Falls, Gunlom Falls, or Moline Rockhole. Accessibility varies, but the guide will ensure the best possible experience.
Warradjan Cultural Centre - If time permits, stop at Warradjan Cultural Centre and gallery to explore the stories of the artefacts that the traditional owners wish to share with visitors. Discuss the evolving social, cultural, and environmental changes to the area over time before returning to camp for a hearty dinner and well-deserved rest.
Camping: Private Jabiru Campsite - Permanent Tents or Bush Swags (communal bathroom facilities).
Driving Distance: Minimum 150km depending on waterfall access. Note this includes a minimum of 40kms offroad on each journey.
Hike Distance and Grading: 1.5km - 4km & up to Grade 5/6.
Kakadu - Katherine
Nourlangie Rock - Discover Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) rock art, Kunwarddewardde Lookout, and potentially explore the surrounding areas of Nawurlandja Lookout and Anbangbang Billabong. Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) Rock features incredible Aboriginal rock art and Dreamtime stories of the Bininj people.
Maguk Gorge - Another 4WD track leads south to enjoy a picnic lunch at the plunge pool of Barramundi Gorge (Maguk) Waterfall, one of Kakadu’s most picturesque and pristine waterfalls. A moderate to high level of fitness and agility is required, with flat pathways and rocky crossings leading to the plunge pool through the monsoon forest.
Katherine - After a 2km walk, swim, and lunch, head south through Kakadu National Park towards the private safari campsite in Katherine, where relaxation under the stars and evening hospitality around the campfire await.
Camping: Private Katherine Campsite - Permanent Tents or Bush Swags (communal bathroom facilities).
Driving Distance: 420km.
Hike Distance and Grading: 1.5km Grade 3.
Katherine - Nitmiluk National Park
Nitmiluk National Park - Start early to reach Nitmiluk National Park and board a 2-hour NitNit Katherine Gorge boat cruise, a must-do in the Top End. This cruise navigates between 70m sheer rock walls with wildlife around every corner. Rich in creation stories, the surroundings and relaxed atmosphere of the cruise are awe-inspiring.
Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge - For those interested, scenic helicopter flights are available after the cruise to take in the spectacular views of Nitmiluk and Katherine Gorge. (At guest’s own expense, pre-booking is required)
Edith Falls - Continue the journey to the beautiful Edith Falls for relaxation in stunning Top End surroundings with a picnic lunch, a large plunge pool beneath a cascading waterfall, and a refreshing chance to cool off! After a day of culture, walks, and swims, return to the private campsite for a stunning sunset and evening.
Camping: Private Katherine Campsite - Permanent Tents or Bush Swags (communal bathroom facilities).
Options: Scenic helicopter flights.
Driving Distance: 470km.
Hike Distance and Grading: 2km Grade 2-4 depending on the walk embarked on. The main pool (when open) is a short walk with low grades. Upper pools require a reasonably steep climb and descent, and at least a moderate level of fitness and agility.
Nitmiluk National Park - Litchfield - Darwin
Litchfield National Park - The adventure continues as the journey heads into Litchfield National Park on the way back to Darwin, concluding the fifth day. Travel north from Katherine towards the world-class Litchfield National Park, surrounded by thick pockets of tropical rainforest, offering a cool escape from the Top End heat.
Magnetic Termite Mounds - View the impressive Magnetic Termite Mounds and enjoy the opportunity to cool off in Litchfield’s beautiful natural plunge pools like Buley Rockholes or Wangi Falls.
Florence Falls - Visit a magnificent waterfall like Florence Falls or Tolmer Falls and marvel at the beauty carved among the rocky escarpment. Fully relaxed and rejuvenated after a fifth day of exploration and adventure.
Darwin - Relax in comfort as the guide returns you to Darwin for a well-deserved rest, after a day filled with adventure, arriving around 6:30pm.

This adventure tour ensures relaxation in comfort each evening after a day of exploration. Enjoy private campsites equipped with a fully functional, enclosed camp kitchen, and spacious safari tents or swags.
- A minimum moderate to advanced level of fitness is required to complete the walks. Therefore a medium/high level of fitness is required and a doctor’s certificate is required for people over 70 years (30 days prior to travel).
- The tour operator must be notified of any known medical conditions at the time of booking. This is a very physical tour and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility.
- While we endeavour to cater to most dietary needs, passengers must advise dietary requirements to their booking agent at the time of booking. As we are venturing to remote areas we are very limited in what we can source once the tour departs, therefore prior notice is required.
- Children aged between 8 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. Not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under, due to safety requirements and the level of fitness required to complete the walk.
- Limited storage space in our vehicles. Baggage must be kept to 1 x 15kg travel bag, 1 x 5kg day bag. Not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, wheelchairs, walkers or strollers.
- Please ensure you have checked the average temperatures for the time of year you are travelling and have packed adequate clothing.
- Please advise at time of booking whether you require a hire of a sleeping bag?
- Guests are asked to participate in the preparation of meals, clean up and vehicle unpacking/loading, so everyone can relax together after a long day of touring. It’s also a great way to get to know and connect with your fellow travellers.
