Distance: 120.5 km
After breakfast, with packed lunch boxes in hand, guests will embark on a half-day game drive. If anything was missed on the first day, there will be another opportunity to see it. The landscape of Mikumi is often likened to the Serengeti. The road through the park divides it into two areas with distinct environments. The northwest area features the alluvial plain of the Mkata river basin, with savannah dotted with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palms. Spectacular rock formations of the Rubeho and Uluguru mountains can be found further from the road. The southeast part of the park is less abundant in wildlife and not easily accessible.
Later, guests will depart for Dar es Salaam, arriving before 6:00 PM for dinner, an overnight stay, and merriment!
