I have been to several different escape room experiences and I would say that this escape room falls somewhere in the middle; I have been to some with automatic moving parts and trap doors that fall open, and that are decorated to the max, and one that was just one room and the clues didn't work at all. This one was pretty good in that there wasn't just one room, and the clues and pieces were more complex than just a bunch of combination locks. We also really liked our game controller, she was incredibly kind and helped us throughout the game when we got stuck! However, I do think some of the clues were impossible without the help, and that the decoration didn't blow me away. I also struggle with the fact that this is the same price as all other escape rooms I have done, yet you get ten minutes less than all other escape rooms I've done. I would recommend this for people in the area as there are no other options for nearby escape rooms, but I'd like to see the rooms made a little longer and be given a full hour, or the price lowered a little bit! Regardless, I do plan on coming back when the new room opens up!
Since all 4 of were new to the game we could have used slightly better directions as to what we were supposed to accomplish. we thought that you obtained a piece of the code from different codes not that the last puzzle gave the code. the learning curve is obviously steep.
It was a lot of fun. Definitely like to do it again.
In comparison to previous Escape game experiences this seemed to feature an abstract approach vs. an identifiable path. Fun and challenging but when under time constraint can foster frustration. Similar to the most difficult corn maze, there is an identifiable starting point. We were surprised by a liability waiver. We had fun and accomplished much but no escape! Next time!
The room was great. I just think there were too many puzzles to solve in 50 minutes. I’ve done other rooms in other cities. I’ve escaped some and not escaped others. We would have needed at least another 15-20 minutes to solve this one, and this one was labeled “medium difficulty”. In other cities’ rooms we’ve been given a full 60 minutes. Maybe that was the issue. I just left feeling disappointed, not wanting to come back to try again. The ones I’ve tried before and didn’t escape, I wanted to come back and try a different room. The people I was with had never been in a room before so they didn’t feel the same. They were disappointed but felt like it was their first time so they didn’t expect to get out. They want to go back. We might try it again.
