Ho Chi Minh Highway - The Ho Chi Minh Trail, also known as the Truong Son Trail, was a complex network of supply routes from North to South Vietnam, passing through Laos and Cambodia.
Ho Chi Minh Trail Monument - Named after North Vietnam’s leader, Ho Chi Minh, the trail’s construction began in 1959 by group 559, a logistical unit of the PAVN. It was crucial during the Vietnam War, enabling North Vietnam to send troops, weapons, and supplies to the Viet Cong in South Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh Highway - The trail comprised thousands of miles of dirt roads, footpaths, and waterways, often relocated or concealed to avoid U.S. bombing raids. Despite heavy bombing, its complexity and dense jungle terrain made it difficult to destroy completely.
Ho Chi Minh Trail Monument - The Ho Chi Minh Trail was vital for North Vietnam’s military strategies, facilitating the flow of troops and supplies that sustained the war effort against South Vietnamese and U.S. forces.
Grang Waterfall - Located in Nam Giang District, Quang Nam Province, Grang Waterfall flows from the mountains to the river. It is the largest waterfall in central Vietnam, and its beauty is breathtaking. Surrounded by dense forest and rocky cliffs, the waterfall cascades into cool, clear pools perfect for a refreshing swim. Relax by the waterfall and enjoy the natural beauty of this serene spot. Làng Văn hoá Cơ tu - Đông Giang - The Cotu - Cơ Tu is a small ethnic group primarily residing in central Vietnam, in the mountains of Quảng Trị, Quang Nam, and Hue. They speak the Cotu language and are traditionally agricultural, cultivating rice, maize, and vegetables, and also engage in hunting and fishing.
Their social structure is based on extended family units, and they practice animism, with rituals and beliefs closely connected to nature.
We will visit some villages to learn about their traditions, meet and converse with locals, and trek through beautiful mountains and rice terraces.

Prao Minority Village to Hue/Da Nang or Hoi An via Hai Van Pass
Hai Van Pass - The Hai Van Pass marks the border between Hue and Da Nang. It is Vietnam’s highest pass (500 meters above sea level), stretching 21 kilometers and linking the two cities. Known for its winding curves and breathtaking views of the coastline and lush greenery, it offers a dramatic contrast of mountains and sea.
Hai Van Pass - The pass gained international fame after being featured on Top Gear’s Vietnam special, where it was described as a “ribbon of perfection” on one of the world’s best coastal roads.
Hai Van Pass - At the summit of the pass is Hai Van Quan, a historic gate built in 1826 under Emperor Minh Mang, flanked by remnants of French and American military forces. Perched at 490 meters, it offers stunning views of the mountains and coast and is a recognized national relic.
Hai Van Pass - This is one of Vietnam’s most scenic roads and is sure to be a highlight of your journey.
We will stop frequently for photo opportunities, to enjoy the outstanding landscape, and at the best spot on the pass to savor the finest coffee in Vietnam, while learning the history of Hai Van Quan at the peak of the pass.
Lang Co Beach - Lăng Cô Beach is part of Lang Co Bay, one of the world’s top 30 most beautiful bays. The beach is known for its long stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters.

Lang Co Beach is more secluded than some of the more touristy spots near cities, making it a great swimming spot with fresh water and few distractions, frequented by locals. Tam Giang Lagoon - Tam Giang Lagoon is the largest lagoon in Southeast Asia, covering 20,000 hectares of water surface and stretching 70 kilometers along the coast. Framed by mountains on the west and a strip of land separating it from the ocean, the name “Tam Giang” means “three rivers,” referring to the rivers that feed into this large brackish lagoon in Hue province. The lagoon spans four districts: Phú Lộc, Phú Vang, Phong Điền, and Quảng Điền.
