Pick up Da Nang Airport - Linh Ung Pagoda - Marble Mountain - Hoi An Ancient Town
Linh Ung Pagoda - Linh Ung Pagoda is the largest pagoda in terms of scale and artistic architecture. It is renowned for the enormous statue of Lady Buddha, which stands 67 meters tall.
Recognized as the largest pagoda by its scale and artistic architecture in Da Nang city, Linh Ung Pagoda features the tallest statue of Lady Buddha (actually Lady Bodhisattva) in Vietnam. This creates a magnificent place where visitors can relax their minds by enjoying the vast ocean and the beautiful, lively coastal road.
Linh Ung – Bai But Pagoda showcases a perfect blend of modern and traditional Vietnamese pagoda architecture, especially evident in the three-entrance gate, the main chamber, and the ancestors’ house. Locals believe that the statue of Lady Buddha, or Goddess of Mercy, not only protects fishermen but also gives them strength to face storms and strong waves.
The Marble Mountains - The Marble Mountains are a cluster of five hills made from limestone and marble in Da Nang. They are a renowned pilgrimage site with peaks, caves, tunnels, and temples waiting to be explored. Named after the elements metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, the Marble Mountains are located in a coastal area famous for stone-cutting and sculpture, about 9km south of Da Nang.
The caves within the mountains hold many secrets, including bullet holes from when troops spied on US soldiers relaxing on My Khe Beach below, and buildings standing within the caves and grottoes. There are also Buddhist sanctuaries and places of worship scattered across the mountains, making it a popular spiritual site. A special circular cave leads to the summit, offering spectacular panoramic views.
Hoi An Ancient Town - Hoi An, once a major Southeast Asian trading post in the 16th and 17th centuries, is essentially a living museum showcasing old-town architecture. Notable heritage buildings include Chinese temples, a Japanese-designed bridge, pagodas, wooden shop-houses, French-colonial houses, and old canals. Although large-scale trading has long moved elsewhere, Hoi An has successfully preserved and restored its charming roots and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in December 1999.
Hoi An Riverside is the best place to be at night, as the area is illuminated by quaint and old-fashioned lanterns, creating an atmospheric and beautiful setting. For those who love the sea, sun, and sand, Hoi An offers two lovely beaches five kilometers away from the town center – a sort of holiday within a holiday.
Hoi An is also known for its excellent food, fun shopping, skilled tailors, friendly people, and cozy atmosphere – all key characteristics that attract visitors to this picturesque town.
Ba Na Hills - Golden Bridge
Ba Na Hills - Ba Na Hills, also known as King Mountain, is referred to as the second Da Lat or Sapa in Central Vietnam. The weather here is always pleasantly cool.
Visitors can admire the heights via the most modern cable car system in Southeast Asia. They will visit Dream Stream Cable Car Station. After completing the first cable car ride, they can explore the French wine cellar and the Golden Bridge (winding its way around a 150-meter course lined with flowers, the Golden Bridge shimmers against the Ba Na Hills, supported by a pair of giant hands).
Golden Bridge - The Golden Bridge is a magical and beautiful tourist destination in Da Nang city. It is located in Thien Thai Garden of Sun World Ba Na Hills, 1,414 meters above sea level. The bridge connects the Marseille and Bordeaux stations, allowing guests to travel from the foot of the mountain or the French village to visit the flower garden. Suspended in the air, the bridge resembles a brilliant silk ribbon. It spans 150 meters, including 8 spans, with the longest span measuring 21.2 meters.
My Son Sanctuary - My Khe Beach - Dragon Bridge
My Son Sanctuary - My Son Hindu Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an excellent example of the ancient Champa civilization located in southern Vietnam. It was an independent state from around the 2nd to the 17th century, at which time it was occupied by Vietnam.
The impressive Hindu-themed ruins feature many beautiful stone sculptures, temples, and towers set in tropical jungle surroundings.
My Khe Beach - Considered Vietnam’s most picturesque beach, the white sandy 20-mile stretch of My Khe Beach was named by American troops who visited during the Vietnam War for R&R. It offers excellent surfing from September just off the shores of Da Nang. There are also several high-end resorts nearby, offering pampering with a rich choice of spa treatments and a range of dining options.
In addition to sunbathing and surfing, there are numerous historical sites nearby, including the port of Hoi An, which is only 10 minutes away by bus and offers wonderfully preserved merchant houses and small alleyways to explore. Hoi An is also a superb place to have anything tailor-made, usually within 12 hours, and while waiting, it’s highly recommended to try some local delights, including very fresh shrimp pancakes.
Dragon Bridge - Dragon Bridge in Da Nang is the longest bridge in Vietnam, offering a dazzling display of lights, fire, and water that no first-time visitor to Da Nang should miss. Measuring 666 meters in length, it is located in Da Nang City and constructed in the shape of a golden dragon.
The six-lane bridge crosses the Han River, serving as a direct route to My Khe Beach and Non Nuoc Beach, as well as a popular spot among traveling photographers. Dragon Bridge was officially opened in 2013 after a two-year-long construction, commemorating the 38th anniversary of Da Nang City’s liberation. According to local beliefs dating back to the Ly Dynasty, the dragon is a significant symbol of power, nobility, and good fortune.
Han Market - Drop off Da Nang Airport
Han Market - Han Market is a significant landmark in Da Nang, having been in operation since the French occupancy in the 1940s. This local market is set within a two-story building at the grand intersection of Tran Phu Street, Bach Dang Street, Hung Vuong Street, and Tran Hung Dao Street, where you can find hundreds of stalls selling an array of local produce, handicrafts, T-shirts, and accessories. It’s very much like a miniature version of Ben Thanh Market central market in Ho Chi Minh City, and even if you aren’t necessarily looking to buy anything, it still offers a fascinating glimpse into local life in Da Nang.
