Rainbow Mountain Beauty - We enjoyed our ATV experience. The Red Valley is beautiful. However, the hike is very strenuous and takes considerable time as a result. We took ATV’s to get us closer to Rainbow Mountain. Imagine our surprise when after considerable effort, we arrived at the top to see a whole group of ATVs parked right at the top base. We could have skipped the strenuous considerable hike had we gone with those ATV’s. Nonetheless, we had beautiful views and great photo ops. Our guide Solomon was great, the ATV’s were fun, and we enjoyed ourselves. If it is your intention to minimize the strenuous hike, seek a different ATV company that gets you closer.

Excellent trip to Rainbow Mountain - Great experience - small group as promised. We stop by in local restaurant for breakfast and lunch for good peruvian food. Samuel was excellent guide - did not let anyone fall behind. ATVs through 'Red Valley' - excellent way to get to the Rainbow Mountain - spectacular scenery. Short hike up the mountain - manageable, with enough time given for exploring and pictures. Weather - unpredictable - as we encounter snow in the top of the mountain - but this was just part of adventure. Highly recommend it to everyone

Spectacular scenery, colours and loads of fun - Epic ATV Adventure to Red Valley & Rainbow Mountain – A Must-Do Experience! This ATV tour to Red Valley and Rainbow Mountain was hands-down one of the most thrilling and unforgettable experiences of our entire trip! From start to finish, the tour was perfectly organized, with a fantastic guide who made sure everyone felt safe, confident, and excited for the adventure ahead. Riding ATVs through the stunning high-altitude landscapes was an absolute adrenaline rush — the perfect way to explore the rugged beauty of the Andes. The Red Valley was surreal — dramatic, otherworldly terrain with deep red rock formations that felt like riding through another planet. And the journey there was half the fun — wide open paths, incredible views, and a true sense of freedom. The highlight, of course, was Rainbow Mountain. Arriving by ATV meant we beat the big crowds and got to enjoy the colorful peaks in relative peace. The short hike to the viewpoint was well worth it — the colors were even more vivid than expected, and the scenery around us was absolutely jaw-dropping. Our guide was brilliant — friendly, informative, and clearly passionate about the landscape and culture. They shared great local insights, helped with photos, and paced the trip perfectly to balance excitement and acclimatization to the altitude. If you’re looking for a more exciting, less crowded way to see these iconic natural wonders, this ATV tour is the way to go. It’s adventurous, scenic, and incredibly rewarding.

The experience was unforgettable! - The trip was unforgettable winding through the mountains to see the landscape of Peru and the Andes. The atv was easy to learn and alot of fun saving time and energy! The altitude did hit me hard but there are lots of breaks and checks along the way. The food for breakfast and lunch was great and there were alot of options. Red valley is a must see less busy and more breathing taking then the rainbow mountain!

Beautiful landscape with ATV fun - A very successful day tour. The Red Valley is beautiful and with far fewer people than Rainbowmountain. The ride on the ATVs was a cool experience - although a bit chaotic in the rental. Our guide Samuel even took drone shots - a nice memory. We would choose the tour again.

Must do in Cusco! - Excellent experience, a must do in Cusco! Our guides and driver were friendly and knowledgeable. Being able to see red valley and Rainbow Mountain provided spectacular views and a memorable day! We made it to the top despite some snow, but luckily the clouds broke and we could see even more of the beautiful colors. Taking the ATV option allows you to see more of red valley and reduce the amount of hiking involved which was perfect for us as we had spent the 2 previous days hiking and wanted to rest our legs. Highly recommend!!

Fun ATV tour, beautiful red valley and rainbow mountain! - The ATV tour through Red valley is very fun! Red valley is stunning beautiful! We are so glad to find and take this tour! We have a group of 7 took the tour. We were picked up at hotel at 4:20 in the morning. The van is packed and not very comfortable for the 4 hours car ride. Breakfast and lunch are very good. Some of us managed drive the ATV up to the mountain, and wish to ride ATV down, the tour company did offer extra driver to do that. One person in our group need oxygen assistance, the tour guide run to the person to give oxygen help. All of us enjoyed the tour had great time.

“ATV Tour” to Rainbow Mountain - Let’s start with the good: Rainbow Mountain was stunning, and our guide Edwin was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. The lunch on the way back was surprisingly great, especially after the underwhelming breakfast. And for the price, it’s a solid way to see Rainbow Mountain with meals and transport included. Now, about that “ATV tour.” If you’re imagining rugged terrain, adrenaline, and open throttle—think again. The ATV portion was essentially a 15-minute crawl up a switchback road you could’ve walked a shortcut faster. They advertise automatics, but keep them locked in second gear and won’t let you shift. Uphill was a snail’s pace, downhill was pure coasting with brakes only— throttle not required. Expect about 2 hours hiking and 20 mins on an ATV. Despite 30 years of ATV experience, I had a worker riding on the back of mine, instructing me when to tap the brakes like I was piloting a lunar lander. Swerving to road side to avoid the dust cloud from the ATV in front? Forbidden. About 75% of the group had workers riding tandem, which made it feel more like a shuttle service than a tour. Pickup communication was last-minute, and while they collected us from a nearby church, they dropped us off at the main square—about a 30-minute walk from our hotel. Pro tip: stay up late the night before so you can sleep through the long bus ride. Also worth noting: Red Valley is just a 20-minute trail walk from Rainbow Mountain, so if you’re doing another trek there, you can skip the ATV detour entirely. Bottom line: Rainbow Mountain is worth it. Edwin is worth it. The “ATV tour”? More like a scenic escort service with handlebars.
