Archaeological Site Pinkuylluna - Departure at 1:30 PM from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, guests will be transferred to their accommodation. Following this, a 30-minute walk to the Pinkuilluna archaeological center begins. Nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, this site captivates visitors with its stunning beauty and rich history. Known for its enigmatic structures, some believed to have been used as food storage (Collcas), it invites modern adventurers to envision life in ancient times. The panoramic views from Pinkuilluna’s heights, especially at sunrise or sunset, offer moments of reflection and a deep connection with nature and history. Return to Ollantaytambo for disembarkation in preparation for the next day’s journey.

Ollantaytambo - Inti Punku - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

Inti Punku Sun Gate - Departure at 5:00 AM towards Inti Punku, the Sun Gate. The hike takes approximately 3 hours, depending on the participant’s physical ability. Upon reaching Inti Punku, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views, where snow-capped peaks and lush valleys extend endlessly. This strategic location served not only as a ceremonial entrance to the sacred city of Machu Picchu but also as an astronomical observation point where the Incas studied the movements of the sun and stars. The name “Inti Punku” translates to “Gate of the Sun,” and witnessing the dawn as the first rays of sunlight pass through the stone portal creates a spectacular display of light and shadow that has fascinated travelers for centuries. Finally, return to Ollantaytambo and then proceed to the city of Cusco.
