Cusco – Mollepata – Humantay Lake – Salkantay Pampa
Humantay Lake - In the early morning, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Cusco and driven towards Lake Humantay, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. The journey will proceed to Soraypampa, situated at 3,800 meters above sea level. After about 2 hours, there will be a stop in Mollepata (2900m) for breakfast (not included), providing an opportunity to make any last-minute purchases for the hike. The route continues for another hour to Challacancha (3,675m), where the team will warmly welcome guests and provide detailed trekking instructions. Upon reaching the camp at Soraypampa, a delightful lunch will be served. In the afternoon, guests will ascend to Lake Humantay to admire its clear waters, vibrant energy, and breathtaking mountain views. It’s an ideal spot for meditation and yoga! There will be ample time to enjoy the magnificent scenery, absorb the mountain’s energy, and breathe the purest air.
Chaullay – Colpapampa – Lucmabamba – Llactapata
Salkantay Trail - The day begins early with breakfast and a yoga session to energize for the journey ahead. The adventure truly begins with an uphill trek to the Salkantay Pass at 4,650 meters. From there, the hike continues to Huayra Machay for lunch, then onward into the exotic rainforest. As the journey progresses, the landscape transforms from sparse grasses and high mountains to a lush cloud forest, home to butterflies, hummingbirds, and diverse flora. This section of the trail is less strenuous, with generally warm weather, allowing guests to enjoy the vibrant landscape with its small rivers, stunning waterfalls, native plants, wild orchids, colorful birds, and tropical fruits. After lunch, the trail descends to the river before ascending the ridge on the opposite side. It takes approximately 5 hours to reach the camp.
Chaullay – Colpapampa – Lucmabamba – Llactapata
Mirador de Llactapata - The day starts early with meditation, energetic yoga, and breathing exercises. After a hearty breakfast, transportation will be provided to Lucmabamba. From the Lucmabamba campsite, the hike to Llactapata begins. Llactapata is a well-preserved Inca road that once extended all the way to Quito, Ecuador. Guests will see a variety of crops, including coffee, banana, avocado, pineapple, and even coca leaves, considered sacred by the Incas. The hike ascends to the archaeological site of Llactapata, offering views of part of the famous Machu Picchu and the surrounding valley. Guests will explore the archaeological site, still covered in vines and jungle vegetation. After a box lunch, the hike returns to the campsite. Upon arrival, a yoga session will be held, followed by rest before dinner.
Lucmabamba – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes
Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes) - The day begins with an energizing breakfast and another yoga session. The spiritual hiking experience continues from Lucmabamba to Hidroelectrica. After enjoying a delicious box lunch, the hike resumes for another 2-3 hours until reaching Aguas Calientes, also known as Machupicchu Pueblo, the town at the base of the magnificent Wonder of the World. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation at the hotel or exploring the village of Aguas Calientes independently.
Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Machu Picchu - In the early morning, guests will depart their hotel to take the bus to Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas.” This site is considered a masterpiece of Inca architecture, featuring various quarters, squares, alleys, buildings, astronomical observatories, and terraces. Rediscovered on July 24, 1911, by American researcher Hiram Bingham, the site offers a guided tour followed by time for personal exploration. Guests may also opt for a short hike to the Inca Bridge or “Intipunku,” the sun gate. In the afternoon, the return journey to Aguas Calientes by bus is followed by a train ride to Poroy/Ollantaytambo. The trip back offers beautiful views of the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival at the train station, guests will be transferred to their hotel in Cusco.
