Cusco - The adventure begins bright and early at 6:00 AM in Cusco, as travelers embark on the renowned Route of the Sun from Cusco to Puno, celebrated as one of the most picturesque routes in the Peruvian Andes. Along the journey, enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes, charming traditional villages, and fascinating historical sites.
The first stop is Andahuaylillas, where visitors can admire the stunning San Pedro Church, often referred to as the Sistine Chapel of the Andes due to its remarkable colonial artwork and murals.
Parque Arqueologico De Raqchi - The journey proceeds to the Raqchi Archaeological Site, where explorers can discover the Temple of Wiracocha, a significant Inca religious structure.
Next, there is a stop in Sicuani to savor a buffet lunch featuring traditional Andean cuisine. After lunch, the route ascends to La Raya Pass (4,335 m / 14,222 ft), the highest point between Cusco and Puno, offering awe-inspiring views of the Andes Mountains.
Pukara Archaeological Site - The final stop is Pukara, an ancient pre-Inca cultural center renowned for its museum and traditional stone sculptures.
Arrival in Puno, the gateway to Lake Titicaca, is around 5:00 PM, followed by a transfer to the hotel.
Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Amantani Island

Amantani – Taquile Island – Puno – Return to Cusco

On the island, visitors will walk to the main plaza, enjoy panoramic views of Lake Titicaca, and observe local artisans demonstrating their renowned hand-woven textiles.
After a traditional lunch on Taquile Island, the return journey by boat to Puno begins, with arrival around 4:00 PM.
From there, a transfer will take travelers to the bus terminal for the night bus from Puno to Cusco.
