Love it. - It's worth the money. High altitude weather is very unpredictable. We got snow on when climbing Rainbow Mountains. Enjoyed the guide, Alexsander. He did a good job organizing the trip. The driver drove us safely up to the mountains (unlike other drivers we hired in Peru). We met up at 3 am. I like it including breakfast and lunch. The food was reasonably good. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to try Rainbow mountain. But be careful. It is 17K feet high. Hard to breath.

Magnificent hike! - A magnificent hike to admire the famous Rainbow Mountain 🌈! The guide Darwin, very nice! Be careful, however, due to the high altitude, to be sufficiently acclimatized to avoid giving up along the way!

Great experience - Great experience. We opted to do both rainbow mountain & red valley, views were stunning. Well worth the 2am wake up call. The hike was great but cold and there was lots of snow. Our guide Yuri was great - he was in touch the day before to arrange a pick up time & then again in the morning with his eta. He guided us up the mountain safely and always checked on the whole team. Thank you!

RAINBOW MOUNTAIN - "A spectacular landscape with unique colors. The hike is hard because of the altitude, but the incredible final view rewards all the effort. Unmissable adventure!"

You could die at their feet. - Probably the worst tour of my life. The conditions were terrible the day I participated. A storm had blanketed Vinicunca in snow the day before. The tour operator hadn't warned me, and I didn't have proper footwear for hiking in 30 cm of snow. My feet froze during the ascent, and it took the team almost an hour to come and help me. After I regained the use of my feet, they left me no choice but to descend on my own. The next day, I had electric shocks shooting through my legs. I asked Rainbow Mountain Travels for medical assistance, and several days later, the co-founder, David, politely told me to get lost and that it wasn't their problem. I had to pay for the hospitalization myself, and my trip to Peru was severely compromised.

Bad experience - Bad experience I have chosen this company because it looks safe with the oxygen tank… but finally the guide leave our group to be with an other group to the red valley. We did our hike alone. The guide was very stressful and pushed us to go faster by telling us “family your are the last one !” And it was not true someone of our group was behind us. And we were not so slow because the day before we just arrived from the salkantay trail we finished very well. We didn t like this experience with Edgar ! A guide should stay all the time with his group and should take care of each person and stay positive and be reassuring . Furthermore that band name “sexy jolitos” is really cheesy and tacky.
