Easy if you feel sick - I went with my esposito to do the mountain tour, but I felt very bad in cusco and Nixon recommended me to do and an upgrade to four-wheelers. Although there was about 20min of walking we had a great time, super recommended if you do not feel well to do the full walk

Amazing - Everything was organised perfectly from start to finish, the guide, driver, breakfast/lunch, ATVs and communication from the tour operator! The views are breathtaking and I cant recommend this more!!!

Quad bikes up to Rainbow Mountain made it possible for me. - I was worried that the altitude of Rainbow Mountain would mean I wouldn’t be able to visit. But being able to ride quad bikes up and then have the option of a flat short trail for amazing photos was everything! It was seamless with no side effects!

Fun trip, totally worth it - Trip was fun, fast, worth the bumpy road off, even though it was cloudy every few minutes we got to see the beautiful colors of rainbow Mountain. Much easier than the hike and saved us quite a bit of time. Our friends went with a traditional walking tour and they were gone much longer and got up much earlier.

This was a good... - This was a good experience, with great views and the ATVs were fun. The only downside was that we went in early November and the mountain was covered in snow! We couldn’t even see the colors. We were also told it would be a 20 - 25 minute hike, but it took closer to 45 minutes.
The ATVs were quite fun, and the tour was well organized and communicated. I appreciated the guides communication.

Suffering - I hired a quad bike ride, knowing that the route requires a lot of physical resistance and I was informed that I would have 10' walk, I was surprised with 40' climbing. I complained to the agency where I was informed that I chose the long script in an interview with the agent. I would never choose the long script, even because one of my friends has difficulty walking long trails, especially ingrims. They just left us there, waiting for 2 hours, until their return to the climb. It was one of the worst days of my life. Very cold, with sun, wind, no place to sit. When you book with them, record the interview.

Cleary put on the wrong tour - We booked this tour because it was meant to have an English speaking guide (which it did not have), and was meant to be an ATV ride to rainbow mountain with a 5 minute walk to the view point. Instead, when we arrived at the end of our ATV ride, when we asked our non-English guide about the 5 minute walk to see rainbow mountain he was very confused. After some hand motions and broken English with our non-English speaking guide, we were told it was a 45-60 minute walk to rainbow mountain. When we looked surprised by this the guide looked confused again.
We both had trouble walking in the high altitude and both felt extremely unwell. We found it extremely hard to walk for an hour to get to rainbow mountain in this high altitude. This is why we booked the tour that rode the ATV's all the way up to the top with a very short walk. We booked this option as we only had one day in Cusco prior to the tour and so had no time to acclimatise to the conditions. When we eventually made it to rainbow mountain, we followed a flat path (for about 5 minutes) to the other side of the hill, and saw a group of people riding up to the top on ATV's and realised that this was the tour we were meant to be on.
On the walk back to our ATV's - another 1 hour walk in high altitude, my wife became too unwell to walk and required a horse to take her back to the starting point. I husband was also feeling extremely unwell, but we did not have enough money with us to get a second horse back - as we did not factor this in to our tour. It was meant to be a 5 minute walk from our ATV's, and only 40-45 minutes at this high altitude before going back down.
The other reason we picked the tour that we did, was because it was a shorter tour. 10-12 hours. The tour we were put on was 14.5 hours long. When we contacted Viator about them having placed us on the wrong tour, they apologised and only refunded 20% of the tour price. Pretty disappointing response from Viator.
