✅ I've visited on 2025-06-27 - Despite the weather was foggy. Some minutes later, it was partially cleared. And I took some stunning photos, even with the site crowded.
Personally I say this: "I feel that my soul has been completely healed, from my past ghosts."
Machu Picchu has saved my life, Again and again.

Excellent guide in place... - Excellent driving in magical place. We recommend itinerary 3 and descent on foot of about an hour and a half.

Circuit 3 & Circuit 1 with Jimmy - Our tour company arranged two private tours with Jimmy and he was super attentive, knowledgeable, and caring. He was empathetic with me because the bus ride was nerve wracking due to all of the switch backs and he waited patiently for us as we paid to use the bathroom before beginning the hike. He balanced to tour with information while answering our personal questions and he spent a lot of time helping us take memorable photos when we reached the top. It was the experience of a lifetime. Circuit 3 was lower and interesting but circuit 1 took us to the top!

UNESCO heritage attraction is a very, very guarded and well planned attraction. If you want to visit everyday number of tickets are decided and you have to be present there at the time of entry. There are regular shuttle buses every few minutes.
Also no plastic allowed inside. Further toilets set your wallet back by s2 and baggage storage by s5.
It has different circuit routes depending on what you want to see some easy. Some moderate even going up too a challenging level of 10 the macho Pico mountains give a great history about the Inca.of civilization. It is very interesting to see. How much influence the sun has been moon? End stars add-on the belief off the inca regime. . It was simpler mind memorable.
A guide is preferred along.
The sun temple is closed last 8 months. I'm challenging trek taking back lovely memories. It was worth The Visit coming all the way from Bombay.

Our Peru highlight: Machu Picchu - Despite the late arrival by train - the railway line was briefly closed due to rock fall - our guide Raul reliably contacted us the night before. The meeting point in the morning was good, Raul was very punctual and accompanied us throughout the morning in Machu Picchu. A lot of information, one or the other anecdote and a lot of background on the time and way of life of the Incas rounded off the experience.

Inoubliable - A pilgrimage! The reality is that you have to climb! The train , then epic the bus, the anxiety qd we see the ravine! Once arrived, early in the morning for light, sunrise. There are no words strong enough to explain this magic! Our super guide explains the history of this people. Constructions, life, roles of each. We are admiring this architectural beauty.. the little extra , an alpaca did me the honor of coming with me on a descent where I could lay my hand on its rear end.

Awesome place! Book your ticket 2mo in advance - TICKETS: BOOK TICKETS AT LEAST 2.5 MONTHS BEFORE. I’m not joking, in April we couldn’t book our tickets for May visit, that’s why we had to go to Aguas Calientes one day before our date via the earliest train to be ones of 500 people who can buy the tickets for the next day (it’s only one available option to have tickets if you can’t buy them online because they are sold out). So, it’s possible, but you have to wake up extremely early.
PLACE: of course, Machu Picchu is beautiful! It’s a definitely must-visit point in Peru.

Wonder of the extraordinary world. - Machu Picchu is an incomparable architectural wonder, located in an imposing natural environment. The precision of its Inca construction astonishes, integrating perfectly with the surrounding mountains. Its location at the top of the mountain range creates a landscape of exceptional beauty. The energy of the place is palpable, conveying a sense of peace and connection with history. Visiting Machu Picchu is a transformative experience that lasts in the memory.

Travel and visit to Machu Picchu - The ruins themselves are fine, and they are in good condition considering that millions of tourists trample them a year. The problem is that arriving and leaving is a more pressing adventure than the visit itself, and fortunately for the Peruvian government, there is virtually no maintenance, and I am sure that in a century there will be something similar to a newly demolished building. From that point of view, we're lucky.
The problems begin the second we arrive at the train station in Machu Picchu, where you are at your discretion, and you must guess what your train is, and that which we did well, another group lost its trip. Not to make a very long story, no stage of transportation works as it should, compounded by the fact that in our case we arrived when the government removed several buses due to a lethal accident that occurred a few weeks earlier. The village of Machu Picchu, or Aguascalientes, is basically a tourist trap, including the improvised architecture found throughout the Peruvian Sierra.
With regard to the ruins, like all major monuments worldwide, it loses appeal the more you’ve studied about it*, if you know how it was built and its history, you won’t be impressed. Although the worst is, predictably, influencers interrupting traffic and gringos plastered looking for UFO tracks.
* The place I liked the most in Italy was Venice, but it was mainly because I expected worse, although it is noticeable that it is in decline, I arrived expecting something much more unpleasant.

DON'T HIRE THE GUIDES, GO FREE - The guides are PIRATES do not hire them, not even those of Machu Pichu village (they are where you take the bus to Machu Pichu, they wear brown vest or they are dressed in street clothes) let alone hire those who are right at the entrance door to the circuits, already upstairs (those are wearing blue vest) These gentlemen take you fast and running all over the circuit, without letting you contemplate even for two minutes in any viewpoint, because all they want is to end up, to go out and catch other tourists, in order to earn more money, pay 220 soles, for a tour inside Machu Picchu for two people, they made it, and so I tell my experience, DO NOT HIRE THE GUIDES go free (and if you want more information about Machu Pichu, you see a documentary the day before you enter) They are not serious and they go to what they go, do not be fooled
