Very well organized and supplied; fun and delicious - This experience was just as advertised and really informative and a lot of fun. We had a fascinating tour of the market with explanation of various local fruits and vegetables, many of which we were going to go on and cook with. The cooking setup was extremely well organized and supplied. There were ingredients and supplies for everyone at a high level. The demonstrations were clear and we then set about making - and eating - our own. All was delicious and they did send email copies of the recipes that I'm working on at home. I became especially interested in quinoa, which I had thought was a trendy US fad, but I came to really liking it. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing! - This was so good! The market tour was actually really beneficial, even though we had already done a walking tour which had included San Pedro, Jeorge our guide went through lots of the different flavours and we tasted lots of different fruits, bread etc. It helped us understand what things to buy from the market and what the good prices were. Then we went for the cookery class which was so fun! we made lots of professional dishes, ate them. I'll definitely be making the Pisco sour at home again. One thing I would say is the ceviche was served on two giant spoons which I think would have been better in a bowl with cracker or something. But 100% recommmend this class. It was a pricey experience but definitely worth it.

Well worth your time and money whether you cook or not! - Wow, DO NOT hesitate to take this market tour/cooking class. We do A LOT of these types of things in many countries, and this one was the BEST we've ever done. We had Chef Jorge, who made the market tour so interesting and informative and the class just fantastic. The recipes and ingredients were totally top-notch. The food we made was absolutely beautiful and delicious, and Jorge managed the process and cooking so incredibly well. It was just a real pleasure. The location where they do the class is comfortable and lends itself to class participation and socializing

Wonderful experience with Chef Alvaro - We took a market tour and cooking class today with Chef Alvaro. He toured us around San Pedro market, introducing us to fruits only available in Peru. We picked up ingredients for our class, and proceeded to make a dynamite ceviche, a tamal with quinoa and a causa limena and several cocktails (plus mocktails for my kids.) He was very explanatory with just the right pacing. He was incredibly warm and really helped my youngest son. Food and drinks were outstanding!!!
