Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain - The journey to Palccoyo takes about 3.5 hours, with the first stop in Combapata. Upon reaching the Palccoyo pass, there is an uphill walk of approximately 40-50 minutes (5000m/16,400ft). Here, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of three Rainbow Mountain Palccoyo peaks and the highest mountain in the Cusco region, Ausangate.
We will spend around an hour here capturing photos and soaking in the magnificent scenery. Following this, we will return to our private transportation to proceed to Checacupe, where we will explore its beautiful colonial bridge, spending about 20 minutes taking photos and exploring the area. Afterward, there will be time to savor a delicious lunch prepared by locals. We will then return to Cusco via private transportation (approximately a 2.5-hour drive). Arrival in Cusco is expected around 5:00 pm, with drop-off at your hotel. -
Cusco - It is important to note that the route to Palccoyo is relatively new, as it is a recent attraction. Consequently, the roads can be quite bumpy for about an hour each way, as they have not yet been paved by the government.
