Amazing experience - We were picked up right on time. Some of us were having problems with the high altitude and Louis took excellent care of us.

Overcoming high altitude sickness. - Rough 4 hour ride to the mountains. It was our 2nd day in high altitude. So altitude sickness was unbearable. I recommend staying at least 4 days in Cusco before taking the Rainbow Mt. tour. The scenery was out of this world. I took pictures with Alpacas which was nice. Franklin, our guide was very hands on with our problems. Very informative. I recommend this tour.

Rainbow Mountain is a must see! - The Rainbow Mountain - Quad & Meal excursion from Cusco was great! David’s team was awesome, as they helped the group understand the significance of our destination as well as prepare us for the several facets of the journey. Expect a very long day of van travel, with varying degrees of tough terrains, especially the closer you get to the destination. The views, however, are stunning throughout and make up for the distance. (You should plan to rest and recover the next day.) A few suggestions: carefully check weather forecast so as not to over-dress in slightly warmer weather; a beanie, sun glasses, face mask, and gloves are a must for driving; and, for solo drivers, bring a camera mounting device as hand-filming while driving is prohibited. Last, the meal provided was excellent! With all that said, we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful time experiencing this magnificent mountain, and I highly recommend this excursion to you! Thank you David…well done!!

Great tour - Well run tour. Everything was very timely. Meals were great. ATVs were quick and easy getting up to Rainbow Mountain. We had an hour there before we descended.

Exceptional unique experience - 5. It was an incredible experience. Choosing to climb the mountain quadricycle was the best choice we made, makes it easy and much and most important we came there with breath to enjoy the landscape and take beautiful photos.

Fun ride on Rainbow Mountain - We were very well received and guided by Cristian, we were picked up on time at the hotel. The walk in the mountain is amazing, with the quad bikes it gets much quieter and fun.

Incredible views with little snow. - An adrenaline experience, even though we went up by quad bike to reach the viewpoint was heavy, it was worth the incredible views, snow was observed in some mountains and during our instance it snowed little that added a bonus to the experience, it was very cold. Please check our guide attentively on our tour, only if we delay taking the transport as some tourists did not respect the schedule that was assigned. The agency very poor in communicating with us to know the meeting schedule, departures and guide, etc.

ATVs a must. Long day. - ATVs are the way to go!!! I cannot imagine hiking this. The altitude is something else. The wind whips at you. No way. I am a gym junkie and walk steep inclines every day and I would not hike this. I would be disappointed if I didn’t make it to the top. It truly is the best view. My husband and I are grateful to take the ATVs. You take the ATVs almost to the top. You can hike a mostly flat 5 min trail to a view point or you can hike 5-10 min up a steep hill for an even more amazing view. That hike was hard despite it being short. It was a LONG bus ride there. Got a bit stuffy in the bus and on the winding cliffs, I felt a little nauseous. Lunch was okay. You only get about 30 minutes at the top for pictures. The direction on how to use the ATVs was not good but my husband and I have driven them often including in group tours so we knew what to do. We only speak a little Spanish and the staff was the opposite so that was a little challenging but I’m the tourist so I don’t fault people on this but I do want to point out that other people on this trip know less Spanish than me and were missing important information on the directions for the tour on the ATVs. We had someone from our group hit us on the ATV even. We were all lining up to park and the person in our group wasn’t paying attention or something or didn’t use their brakes and just hit us. We wore helmets so that kept my husband and I from getting hurt. I don’t fault the company for this because I find this is a risk you take on a tour like this. Only thing maybe would make sure the guide is speaking a language or using a translation app that the people signed up are and stress to stay far behind the person in front of you and have the person agree; not just ignore the guide? Luckily we were not near the edge and weren’t going too fast either. We actually didn’t go over 10-15 mph probably. This was not an adrenaline type ATV tour which is safer in this location. The top view was amazing. So pretty. It is not as saturated as most pictures and many people don’t have their expectations set correctly hence some negative reviews. I’ll publish pictures of both my editing and non editing. You will tell the difference easily. Either way, it was a nice view and unique. Again, I wouldn’t hike it. ATVs worth it if you are going to go at all!

Unfortunate experience - Unfortunately there are two sides to this review. ATV’s and Rainbow Mountain - great way to access Rainbow Mountain and the views were incredible - definitely recommend going to Rainbow Mountain. Wrap up in your warm clothes as it gets cold! World explorer were supposed to pick us up at 4am and indicated it could be either side by half an hour. At 4.30am I called World Explorer Peru as had not been collected. They did not answer call. Called Trip advisor who contacted World Explorer. Advised by Trip advisor we would not be collected until 8.30am as they had forgotten to pick us up. I advised Trip advisor this was unacceptable and they managed to get us a pickup time of 6.30am which was closer to 7am. We were picked up by a taxi and taken to catch up to the mini van. The communication about taxi pick up was very poor. Other passengers rude and reclined their seats so we had minimal room to sit in minivan as we were in back seat. Guide did not help with the situation effectively. Guide was ok - slept most trip to and from Rainbow Mountain Found out subsequently World Explorer initially went to incorrect Hotel for pick up. You would think they would have attempted to contact me via WhatsApp asking about correct location, but I received no call. A stressful and disappointing start to a great tourist destination
